With a long tradition of community service in the neighborhoods where we work and live, Fidelity is committed to making a difference in the Jacksonville area. The Fidelity Caresģ program brings this to life with a primary focus on employee volunteer opportunities that help provide students and families with an educational foundation to attain personal and financial success.
Our Teach for America ďPen PalĒ mentoring program enlists 40 Fidelity volunteers to correspond with 40 tenth-grade social studies students about life goals, college and career readiness throughout the school year. In an effort to renovate learning environments and renew energy and enthusiasm in school communities, more than 2,000 Fidelity Cares volunteers across ten regions contributed over 11,000 hours of service towards our School Transformation Days project last year. Fidelity also volunteers with Junior Achievementís students, our Teach a Financial Literacy Course partners, to teach them basic terminology such as debt, credit and savings through a variety of fun and educational activities.
