The General Management Apprenticeship Program is a corporate-wide, two-year rotational program designed to develop high-potential talent by providing the leadership training and business challenges that will propel you into leadership roles within the company.
This program will build your leadership skills and depth of experience. Four assignments, covering different business groups, job functions and geographic areas, will increase your understanding of key functions and what is necessary to achieve results in a competitive landscape and innovative environment. Each rotation focuses on a specific competency and is structured to build experience and knowledge over the two-year program. A mix of individual contribution and collaborative team placement models are intertwined throughout the program.
As an apprentice, you will learn the intricacies of the business groups you work in, as well as complex industry dynamics, all while providing your expertise and support to critical issues facing the company. You will be given decision-making responsibilities as you interact with senior managers to design and execute unique and challenging work. You will be provided with a support network that includes an assignment manager, fellow program members, a business mentor and a dedicated coach to assist you in your personal and career development.

Upon entering the program the apprentice class will go through a structured intensive "boot camp." This includes presentations from senior management providing a detailed view into their respective Fidelity businesses, peer networking and interactions with current apprentices. Boot camp lays the groundwork for the two-year program and beyond. Between rotations, groups are brought together again for "transition camp," serving as a regroup and reenergizing moment prior to the start of a new assignment. Transition camp supplements the learnings from the program and focuses on leadership workshops and development opportunities. Throughout the program, off-site training occurs, where apprentices can build their skill and leadership while gaining knowledge and best practices from peers in the program. This training curriculum is a foundation of the program, supporting continual leadership and management development.
