The Shared Services organization helps grow the business and achieve greater efficiencies across the firm. This organization includes:

  • Fidelity Technology Group (FTG) is a highly diversified and global organization that oversees internal and customer-facing technology. FTG develops and maintains an array of customer and client web sites, manages the technology infrastructure, provides and supports firm-wide applications, ensures IT security to power the company and deliver the best, most secure customer experience.
  • Enterprise Processing Services (EPS), a unit of Fidelity Enterprise Operations, provides innovative solutions in publishing, fulfillment, regulatory mail, scanning, transaction processing, and records storage/management to Fidelity businesses. In 2007, EPS mailed over 370 million envelopes, including annual enrollment mailings, HR/Payroll forms, checks, statements, and other customer-requested materials. EPS is uniquely positioned within Fidelity to provide integrated end-to-end solutions linking marketing efforts to account processing. Its use of cutting-edge technology and performance management practices keep programs cost effective and competitive.
  • Fidelity Pricing and Cash Management Services provides accounting and investment management support services to Fidelity mutual funds, other investment vehicles, and many Fidelity business partners. These services include:
    • Calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products Preparing financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns
    • Monitoring delivery of trades to custodian banks
    • Processing corporate actions
    • Collecting income on securities owned
    • Reconciling, reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions
    • Managing fund liquidity
    • Administering firm-wide Blue Sky reporting and notice filing process
    • Performing cross-channel monitoring of specific operational controls related to shareholder transactions
  • Fidelity Supply Management is composed of the following operating groups: Strategic Sourcing, Cost Management Solutions (Canada), Procurement and Payment Operations, Business Solutions and Travel Services. Strategic Sourcing partners with Fidelity's business units to create and execute procurement and sourcing strategies. The group also negotiates contractual agreements for the acquisition of goods and services ranging from computer hardware and software to real estate construction, telecommunications, market data feeds, HR benefits, and professional services. Business Solutions provides tools and technology in support of the entire Fidelity Supply Management organization including E-sourcing, supplier management and program management. After suppliers are selected, Fidelity employees create purchase requisitions through FSM's online requisitioning tool, e|REQ. Purchase orders and vendor payments are then processed by Procurement and Payment Operations. The Travel Services team supports Fidelity's business units by managing enterprise travel and lodging activities. These operating groups are supported by a number of dedicated staff support functions; Finance, Risk and Systems.
  • Fidelity Consulting works closely with senior Fidelity leadership teams (e.g., Office of the Chairman, Fidelity Executive Committee, Business Unit Presidents, etc.) to solve their most critical and challenging business issues
  • Fidelity Real Estate Company is responsible for providing a full range of corporate real estate planning and services to Fidelity's business units both nationally and internationally, including client service management, portfolio strategy, acquisitions/leasing, project/construction management, design, facility/property management, engineering, and security and data center infrastructure management.
