Job Description:

Position Description: 

 

Scales digital platforms to power customer experiences using RESTful and GraphQL interfaces. Organizes and streamlines data to facilitate business decisions using data visualization tools – Tableau and Power BI. Designs, builds, and tests Application Program Interfaces (APIs) using Postman, Insomnia and Datadog. Provides digital solutions using Unified Modeling Language (UML) work products — use case diagrams and activity diagrams– in conjunction with Web API technical documentation in JSON and XML. Performs business, data, or system analysis and program management of enterprise-wide initiatives (digital platforms of self-service APIs, tools, services, knowledge, and support). Defines and coordinates project scope to maintain and improve brokerage services which– customer information, check deposit, mobile movement, and customer delivery sub domains. Develops digital capabilities for a cohesive customer experience across products and channels, by focusing on customer needs, emerging technology, financial trends, and enterprise goals. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Proposes modifications and improvements based on user need. 

  • Collaborates to improve performance and scalability of applications. 

  • Collaborates across product areas to craft and validate ideas for digital capabilities. 

  • Assists with key decisions on platform roles and practices. 

  • Synthesizes customer needs, emerging technologies, and financial trends into business strategies. 

  • Schedules and conducts requirement gathering workshops to elicit requirements according to enterprise best practices. 

  • Analyzes information to determine, recommend and plan API contract solutions for REST and GraphQL. 

  • Documents user interface requirements, system requirements, cross-application dependencies, and business rules in Confluence, Swagger, Share Point and Mural. 

  • Collaborates with QA teams to ensure successful delivery of digital products, primarily focused on Test Data Management (TDM). 

  • Assists with program management on cross-business unit initiatives, including alignment with architecture. 

  • Expands the usage and integrity of business capability APIs powering customer experiences. 

  • Mentors junior team members. 

 

Education and Experience: 

 

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing real-time analytics application development within a Big Data and financial services environment.  

 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing real-time analytics application development within a Big Data and financial services environment. 

 

Skills and Knowledge: 

 

Candidate must also possess: 

 

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) modernizing existing applications and products by upgrading in scale and incorporating near real-time data analytics; migrating data from on premise to Cloud (Snowflake, Azure and Google Cloud Platform’s Big Query); and enabling BI insights using Tableau, Grafana and DataDog. 

  • DE writing SQL queries and scripts to extract data from large data sets within relational database environments; writing stored procedures to insert and maintain data using Informatica, SQL, and T-SQL/PLSQL database queries; performing data transformations using Informatica; and developing and staging data analysis reports using Power BI, WebFocus and Grafana. 

  • DE gathering business requirements in alignment with defined Lightning Web Components (LWC) framework; performing technical analysis of data for customer servicing (phone calls and paper forms) using Tableau dashboards; and translating technical analyses (for project teams to ingest and develop) into Rest API contracts and Graph QL graphs. 

  • DE supporting enterprise level initiatives using Confluence, Mural board, and Swagger platforms; requesting and validating Web services and RESTful APIs using Postman, Insomnia, and GraphQL in Apollo Federation; and participating is Agile and Scrum ceremonies using JIRA and JIRA Align.
