SAT Chapter Leader – Director, Data Engineering
The associate would work on Strategic Advisors Technology (SAT) Domain of AM Tech India and would need to have experience in Application Engineering, Engineering Standards, processes, tools, talent management and stakeholder management. The associate would have People management responsibilities.

The associate is expected to provide thought leadership in delivering the right business outcomes for an important product area – Account Management in SAT India. The Account Management business domain is very rich in data insourcing, data quality, and data distribution capabilities within the product area and cross-company applications. Hence strong candidate with passion for understanding the rich business processes is needed, who can provide optimal engineering solutions across this spectrum. From tech standpoint, the associate is expected to have good technical knowledge on Database technologies (Oracle PL/SQL, Informatica, Data Warehousing concepts).
Apart from Database specific technology stack, candidate is also expected to have good technical knowledge on Relational Database concepts, Oracle architecture, data warehousing, data modelling and experience on performance tuning.
AM Tech is already hosted on AWS Cloud, so good knowledge of AWS Cloud is preferred. A thorough knowledge of CI/CD processes, development processes around engineering excellence would be required to bolster the overall SDLC process.
The Purpose of Your Role
1) SAT Account Management team provides the platform for managing the portfolios of Retail Managed Account customers in US. This role is for an Engineering Lead position for the squads executed from India.
2) Provide technical mentorship across the product delivery teams involving tech stack around - PL/SQL, hands-on Relational Database concepts, Oracle architecture, data warehousing, data modelling and experience on performance tuning
3) Knowledge on Messaging Platform of Kafka would be very helpful.
4) Ownership and accountability of continuous improvement of the engineering discipline including but not limited to - Technology life cycle management, Non-Functional requirements around performance, stability, reliability, quality, and security of the application / platform.
5) Instill and enforce Engineering practices with all team members and influence global acceptance of these practices.
6) Provide Governance on the overall delivery of different capabilities from India Engineering team.
7) Work with Global Stakeholders of SAT and AM Tech in general to drive accountability and ownership of product delivery from India.
8) Manage Engineering associates in product teams and inspire them to innovate courageously and aspire to reach greater heights.
9) Embrace and imbibe the new Fidelity Agile Model practices in the squad members.
The Skills that are Key to this role
Strong oracle PLSQL background with strong understanding and hands-on Relational Database concepts, Oracle architecture, data warehousing, data modelling and experience on performance tuning.
Candidate should have high-level understanding of 3 tier architecture and micro-services design.
Must have people management experience - Performance management , conflict resolution and stake holder management.
Must have good understanding of CICD process and different testing strategies employed in a software life cycle.
Good to have - Informatica, Unix and Snowflake experience
