Job Title: Lead / Senior Lead – Financial Solutions
The Purpose of this Role
As Senior Lead, Financial Solutions, you will be responsible for developing financial solutions / products & methodologies that drives Fidelity’s advice business. You will also be responsible for the exploration of AI in the creation and delivery of financial solutions and advice and is expected to build the AI capability of the team. You are expected to be aware of all the latest development and research in the field of financial / retirement planning and advice and is expected to identify new business opportunities and create new solutions. You will partner with other Fidelity leaders across the organization (business, asset management, technology, legal) for end-to-end development for financial products and solutions and integration of those solutions within Fidelity’s existing advice and guidance ecosystem.

The Team
The Financial Solutions team, part of Fidelity’s Personal Investing division, is the central team that develops financial solutions and planning methodologies offered to our retail and workplace customers.
We help answer questions like “When can I retire?”, “Should I pay down my debt or invest?”, “What’s the real cost of leaving the workforce to care for a loved one?”, “How should I withdraw from accounts of multiple tax-registration in retirement?” etc. The team also conducts research, provides thought leadership on a range of financial planning topics, and aids in investment product development.
The Expertise You Have
Advanced degree in quantitative field (Masters, PhD) / Master in Operation Research
Strong knowledge of optimization
CFA / FRM / CPA / Actuary / MS Finance etc.
Strong knowledge of quantitative investment theories
Relevant years of experience in field of investment / asset management
Strong knowledge of Reinforcement Learning, and knowledge of the latest development in AI
Strong knowledge about US retirement system and taxation
Python / R / R shiny
