The Role

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends and technologies, such as Blockchain, AI, Generative AI, Quantum, and Spatial Computing, to identify potential opportunities for collaboration and growth within the European innovation ecosystem. Mapping the Ecosystem: Get to know the ins and outs of the startup landscape, academic partners, regulatory entities, and venture communities relevant to FCAT's core areas. Building
  • Strategic Partnerships: Let's work together to build strong relationships with potential partners, government bodies, and industry players. Together, we'll cultivate a thriving innovation ecosystem aligned with Fidelity's objectives.
  • Startup Engagement: Evaluate experimental and joint-invention opportunities with startups and early-stage ventures that align with FCAT’s focus. Uncover founders’ insights and experimentation that could shape strategic decisions.
  • Community Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of the curve with the latest advancements and industry trends by engaging key collaborators whilst also sharing your fresh ideas to inspire an internal audience as well as external audience.
  • Driving Program Development: Be part of the excitement as we design and implement showcases, hackathons, and events aimed at promoting a growth mindset in emerging technology domains.
  • Mentorship: Leverage your experience and understanding of startup environments, accelerators, or incubators to provide guidance and mentorship to relevant founders to help them thrive.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Solid Experience: We are looking for someone with proven ability in the innovation ecosystem and new technologies, specifically in areas like Blockchain, AI, Generative AI, Quantum, and Spatial Computing.
  • Entrepreneurial Demeanor: Have you been in the trenches as a founder, or do you have experience in an incubator or accelerator? Your firsthand knowledge applicable to the startup world will give you an edge in this ambitious role.
  • Tech Savvy: Deeply knowledgeable about emerging trends and insights, especially in the domains relevant to FCAT.
  • Relationship Builder: Excellent networking and interpersonal skills are a must. We want you to engage with a diverse group of partners, including startups, investors, and government officials, all within FCAT's technology focus areas.
  • Strategic Mentality: Ability to think strategically into the future while ensuring near term execution and providing a path forward. You have proven the ability of how to analyze data and make fact driven recommendations on improvement opportunities.
  • Autonomy: Lead and empower cross-functional teams toward a shared vision, particularly when it comes to new technologies. You are motivated, an excellent communicator, can take initiative to solve problems, and can make decisions based on the value of the solutions we build.
