As the Chapter Leader, you blend deep Fidelity Health and Quality Engineering knowledge with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing associates. You are deeply committed to improving the value delivered to our customers.
You will collaborate with other leaders to establish the standards for your chapter, influence the strategic decisions and build solutions. You will directly manage a team of chapter members who primarily work within autonomous teams across product areas but report directly to you. You are dedicated to helping them grow and develop and ensure alignment on the “how” of the work they perform.
You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.

Deep technical expertise with confirmed ability to drive technical solutions and automation frameworks/pipelines such as Selenium, Rest Assured, Karate, etc.
Proactively partner with Product Area, Center of Excellence, and Delivery Team Leaders to:
Influence strategic backlog and prioritization decisions related to your area of expertise
Measure performance through established objectives and critical metrics and deliver agreed upon business, technology, and people results
Align associates across teams and product areas to ensure the best utilization of talent while also building learning opportunities and content to develop skills
Set and apply standards and ensure the work performed is aligned with established road maps
Remove impediments to delivering value
Leadership in QE Initiatives (globally) in defining and implementing quality standards across key programs. Provide and oversee implementation of Integrated test Strategy / End 2 End testing solutions for their teams as well those within the same domain.
Being able to advance the work of the Teams by engaging hands-on in testing execution, defect management and metrics reporting. Perform independent analysis of functional, regression and smoke test suits. Provide continuous improvement ideas for overall product quality improvement.
Assists in determining and developing approaches to automation frameworks and tools.
Participates in team project planning, collaborate with Product owners and project managers for overall quality responsibility
Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Works on multiple projects concurrently under moderate direction.
Focus on driving stability of quality gates in non-prod test environments which helps to identify the application gaps in each environment, which eventually will help to build each environment 100% closer to production environment for all applications, ensuring consistency, stability, and efficiency across the software development lifecycle.
Coach Quality Engineers/ team members to improve their performance, knowledge, and expertise.
Skills that are key to this role and the expertise we are looking for
· Design best engineering practices to test complex software applications.
· Provide and oversee implementation of Integrated test strategy for their teams.
· Perform independent analysis of functional, regression and smoke test suits.

· Lead a QE team with automation engineers and SDETs.
· Leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing people and teams.
· Identifying and acquiring talent needs, and resource planning and talent allocation across large organizations.
· Deep Quality Engineering technical knowledge on automation framework, standards, and best practices, Industry trends and tools.
· Understand business and systems requirements and translate into QE strategy, Business Critical scenarios and Test plans consistently across large, business critical program.
· Measure and Report key QE metrics related to test coverage, % automation, DevOps/ CI Cd integration, Test data mgmt., automation test script quality.
· Bring the latest thinking to your role. Find opportunities to improve efficiency, new ideas and continuous improvements.
· Ensuring highest quality standards and Definition of Done is strictly adhered.
Required Technical skills
· Experience in Agile development methodology and Jira tool
· Experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack
· Hand-on experience in Test Management lifecycle
· Strong experience in Test automation design, development and execution using various frameworks eg. Playwright, Rest-Assured, Cucumber, TestNG.
· Exposure to programming languages for test automation using Java, Typescript, database testing using SQL, and experience using github copilot for testing related use-cases.
· Strong knowledge of continuous integration and deployment – Git, Maven, SonarQube, and Jenkins core etc.
· Demonstrated experience with Azure cloud technologies, DevOps, CI/CD experience.

The Expertise we are looking For
Total 15+ years’ experience with a demonstrated ability in software engineering out of which
5+ years’ experience predominantly in leading QE teams at scale.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or other related field
Hands-on quality engineering experience, which includes:
5+ year using test automation frameworks Rest-Assured, Playwright.
8+ years of automation scripting experience using Java, Typescript.
Good understanding of BDD(Cucumber), TDD, CI-CD and DevOps concepts.
· The following test automation experience is required.
o Web Services – REST and SOAP using Rest-Assured.
o Web UI using Playwright.
o Database testing with SQL
o Performance testing using Jmeter, Rush hour
