Job Title – Director, Architecture
As Director, Solution Architecture, you will be driving the overall technical and solutions architecture within Fidelity Brokerage Technology. Specifically, you will help implement BRT’s cloud-based modernization strategy that includes product/application architecture and design, POCs/prototypes, and automation. You will work closely with business partners and technology teams to understand business objectives and help define the appropriate architecture direction for them, driving Fidelity Brokerage Technology’s digital modernization efforts.
You will play a very hands-on role driving the overall technical and solutions architecture within Fidelity Brokerage Technology. You will be responsible for all aspects of the application architecture and security. You will work closely influencing Business Sponsors, engineering leaders, enablement leaders, and Peer Architects while driving Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology’s digital modernization efforts.

• Formulating and driving the tactical and strategic direction of Fidelity Brokerage Technology enterprise architecture for the most critical and large complex systems across all facets and disciplines.
• Acting as an expert for our development partners providing documentation, reference code and roadmaps for capability modernization, automation, pipelines and strategy that includes bridging/moving data in a co-exist mode.
• Making authoritative decisions over technical issues, project policies, standards, and strategies.
• Anticipating the applicability of major industry trends in the Fidelity environment and implementing roadmaps.
• Growing our agile development culture through use of excellent engineering skills and a deep knowledge of industry standard methodologies.
• Collaborating and coordinating across multiple agile team structures.

Ability to provide technical leadership and hands on day-to-day solutions to agile teams, preparing the design artifacts and implementation of solutions.

Demonstrated technology and personal leadership experience in architecting, designing, and building highly scalable operational systems.
Experience with API Management, domain modeling, policy modeling.
Strong software development skills and experience using Java and web application technologies in a microservices/ service-oriented architecture.
Ability to evaluate, prototypes, direct proof of concepts and recommend emerging technologies and platforms.
Experience in Server-Side technologies like Java, Node.js, JSON, Spring and integration frameworks, Open-Source Frameworks - Spring MVC, Spring Core, Spring REST
Experience in Client-Side technologies like HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS3, Angular.
Experience in security frameworks/technologies: OAuth, Open ID Connect and knowledge of best practices.
Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
Strong presentation skills, written and verbal communication including the ability to influence, to negotiate resolution of issues and conflicts.

Relevant understanding of DevOps technologies such as Jenkins, terraform, Open Tofu, uDeploy, Concourse, and Datadog
Experience with relevant AWS technologies practices, building applications using services such as AWS Batch, EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, KMS, Lambda and CloudFormation and OpsWorks, and a well-grounded knowledge of engineering and continuous delivery practices.
Lead, mentor and provide design and architecture for delivery teams. Collaborate with product and engineering leads and senior management on product and delivery requirements, roadmaps and vision, working closely with delivery teams from project inception to implementation.

The Expertise We’re Looking For
15+ years of industry experience, with a demonstrated ability as Solution architect with prior experience as tech/solution designer in operationally critical systems.
Expert knowledge and experience in Java, microservices, event driven architecture, frameworks, various open-source stacks, and relational databases.
Strong knowledge of application design and distributed technologies, continuous integration, static code analysis, test-driven development, performance analysis and tuning.
Demonstrated technology and personal leadership experience in architecting, designing, and building highly scalable transactions and operational applications/products with different type of workloads.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technology related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required

Shift timings: 11:00 am - 8:00pm
