The Role

The Vice President, Product Lead, Design System and Accessibility role reports into UXD Design Leader of Digital Channels and provides strategic leadership for Fidelity’s design system (FDS) and accessibility program within the UX organization. They lead a team of product managers, engineers, business analysts and design specialists in the delivery of assets and services for internal Fidelity product teams. This role is responsible for shaping the vision, product strategy, and deployment of these programs, ensuring they deliver on their goals of cost savings, speed to market, and high-quality experiences.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

As a key member of the Core Retail Digital Channels team, the VP is responsible for delivering and ensuring the success of critical standards and implementation tools across the Fidelity enterprise. This leader balances long-term vision with near-term delivery while maintaining a high-quality, scalable system.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Lead team of product managers and individual contributors in partnership with Engineering teams to deliver re-usable assets, standards, accessibility tools, and support services for Web, iOS, and Android product teams.
  • Develop quarterly and annual roadmaps, prioritizing new features and capabilities based on user data and feedback, making smart trade-offs where necessary to consistently deliver on the needs of product teams.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team as they execute on the product plan, removing barriers, and ensuring proper support and transparency.
  • Work closely with analysts and Finance teams to measure the usage, impact, and value of the FDS and accessibility programs, seeking new opportunities and improvements in speed to market, maintenance costs, and quality of user experiences.
  • Ensure clear communication across the enterprise on program goals, activities, and capabilities, clarifying requirements and expectations for product teams using FDS and accessibility tools.
  • Communicate progress, needs, and strategic direction to executive leadership, ensuring insight into and understanding of the program’s goals and impact.
  • Operate as a senior leader within the broader User Experience organization to help evolve the practice, inclusive of UX Design, Research, and Design Strategy
  • 15 plus years of experience in a design or related product role with demonstrated experience leading a team of designers and/or product managers

The Team

The Fidelity Design System (FDS) and Accessibility team partners across UXD, Technology, Product, and Business organizations to help digital product teams deliver high-quality experiences with faster speed to market and greater cost savings. As a senior leader within the UXD organization, this role plays a critical part in advancing the capabilities and adoption of these programs, ensuring alignment between customer needs and product strategy while paving the way for successful delivery. The team serves as a connective force across the organization—bringing together diverse stakeholders to standardize product experiences, drive innovation, and deliver meaningful business outcomes. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, influence, and relationship-building, working closely with executive leaders, cross-functional partners, and design teams to shape a unified vision and deliver consistent experiences across Fidelity's ecosystem.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$264,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
