The Role

Managed Accounts are a growing business in the financial services industry, and Strategic Advisors Technology is seeking a Principal, Product Manager to help our advisor business grow. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about investment management, problem solving, building great things, and continuously improving.

The Team

The Account Management Compute and Review team within Strategic Advisors Technology provides personalized portfolio management to Fidelity's over 3 million managed accounts customers, providing tax advantages and customizations all with the aim to help customers realize their investment goals. As a Principal, Product Manager, you set overall purpose and vision for the work of a team, serving as the end-to-end gatekeeper of the mission, strategy, product life cycle and value creation. Outside of the team you will work closely with Fidelity's Strategic Advisors portfolio engineers, investment architects and operations team to understand their vision and challenges. From there, you’ll work with your squad of analysts and engineers to deliver innovative, cost effective, architecturally aligned, and timely solutions.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in technology or finance related field

  • 7+ years of experience in business/systems analysis, product owner, and/or product management

  • Excellent communication, organization and planning, and presentation skills for your team and for executives

  • Experience working on distributed and multi-time zone teams.

  • Proven expertise designing, developing, and maintaining large, complex, and dynamic products and solutions

  • Agile, Jira experience, preferably from a planning perspective

  • Financial services industry knowledge and experience vital, investment management and/or wealth management domain knowledge needed and financial optimizer experience a plus

· Translate strategic objectives into consumable, actionable plans, that your squad or product area can build from

  • Derive initiatives and end-to-end workflows that can be broken down into sub-initiatives, epics & stories with well-defined business value and designs

  • Track record of building highly engaged, industrious teams with a strong focus on execution and the ability to identify, communicate, and remove impediments

  • Effective at running fusions for estimating and planning large efforts that articulate the project demands, assumptions, schedule, and risks, and help advise Product Area roadmap and capacity needs

  • Capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues on solutions, ways of working and tools without formal authority, many times outside of our direct team and in matrixed situations

  • Innovative, intellectually curious, and a team player who can continuously improve our culture, process, and tools, and encourage an agile way of working

  • Defining, refining, and communicating the roadmap, mission, and plans for assigned Squads, products, and initiatives

  • You are a constant voice of the platform's stakeholders, allowing you team to focus on how to build the best product

We are currently working in a hybrid model with some flexibility for remote working. However, Fidelity is gradually transitioning towards a fully in-office working model. We believe this will help strengthen our culture and enhance both the associate and customer experience. At present, this transition is expected from 2027 onwards, with no fixed timeline in place.
