Position Description:

Creates, maintains, and communicates multi-year product roadmaps. Owns the product management lifecycle. Influences broader strategic decisions for products. Collaborates with other leaders to set multi-team roadmaps and coordinate and resolve dependencies. Sets, refines, and communicates the squad’s strategy and mission in alignment with product area strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Negotiates product changes with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
  • Enables delivery of product value with quality and standards.
  • Defines, reviews and tracks squad objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Manages vendor relationships and procurement.
  • Reviews project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
  • Prepares or reviews operational reports or project progress reports.
  • Sets vision, goals, and direction of team/organization.
  • Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives.
  • Regularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other team members for performance and career development.
  • Identifies and plans for future resource needs.
  • Determines technical approaches at a strategic level for the business unit.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Product Management (or a closely related occupation) implementing and maintaining risk and compliance enterprise solutions that support adherence to enterprise policies and controls.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Product Management (or a closely related occupation) implementing and maintaining risk and compliance enterprise solutions that support adherence to enterprise policies and controls.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) as a product owner working collaboratively with senior executives in operations and compliance organizations to build enterprise class financial crimes compliance product solutions, including sanctions and adverse media screening and providing robust business process capabilities and controls to run effective financial crimes compliance.
  • DE delivering a robust compliance screening platform for Financial Crimes Operations Analysts using Event Driven Kafka architecture; and implementing business process flows and
  • integrating platforms with external systems and vendors to automate customer screening and alert processing using Kafka, Power Automate, and Power Application Low Code Platforms.
  • DE managing vendor relationships and influencing product capabilities — screening models; and optimizing adverse media screening results to meet adverse compliance program media requirements and co-managing model lifecycle management for Continuous Improvements (CI) using Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) processes.
  • DE acting as a team lead or manager  in a matrixed organization of Systems and Data Analysts, Quality Engineers, Developers, Scrum Masters and Architects, collaborating, designing, and building enterprise class customer screening solutions for “know your customer” regulations in an Agile environment.

Fidelity’s working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
