Role

The Digital Asset – Tokenization Product Manager will work on product development, management, strategy, and advocacy of Fidelity Digital Asset Management's (FDAM) digital asset investment products. This role involves creating, implementing, and overseeing the design and implementation of tokenized assets for various assets, enabling fractional ownership, liquidity, and new investment utilities and opportunities. You will work closely with the FDAM’s Head of Tokenization Platform Strategy and partner with the FDAM investment, risk and data science teams to evaluate and articulate product design, token economics, new utilities, benefits and use cases for tokenizing an asset and positioning across a range of client segments and channels and a range of trading platforms and protocols. In addition, you will work closely with investment teams and asset allocators across the Asset Management division of Fidelity in evaluating investment ideas and use cases for incorporating tokenized assets and blockchain related technologies into investment solutions designed to meet the dynamic needs of our investors and intermediary clients.

  • Product Strategy: Developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy for tokenized assets, identifying target markets, diverse use cases, and competitive positioning.

  • Tokenized Asset Product Development: Leading the conception, token design, and deployment of tokenized assets across a diverse range of investment solutions and digital asset trading platforms and protocols, focusing on scalability, security, and regulatory compliance. Spearheading the design and development of innovative tokenization products, working closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize features and manage the product roadmap.

  • Identifying investment opportunities, new utilities, efficiencies or use cases for tokenizing assets, designing token models and economic terms, and driving the tokenization process.

  • Developing tokenization models that facilitate access, efficient trading and risk management strategies for investors seeking exposure to private equity, private credit and other illiquid or difficult to trade assets.

  • Market Research: Conducting comprehensive market research to discern emerging trends, customer needs, and analyze the competitive landscape and applications and use cases for tokenizing assets to realize the benefits of blockchain and smart contract and related technologies.

  • Communications and Collaboration: Effectively communicating product plans, progress, and updates to internal stakeholders and external partners to design and establish critical infrastructure supporting investment, valuation, trading, transfer, lending, custody and other financial activities involving tokenized assets. Partnering with the AM Product Group to create alignment and coordination with FDAM product development priorities.

  • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring compliance of tokenized asset design with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, collaborating closely with legal and compliance teams, focusing on disclosure, governance, and trading activities. Identifying potential risks with tokenized assets and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.

  • Performance Tracking: Defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the efficacy and impact of tokenization initiatives, leveraging performance data to drive iterative enhancements and optimizations for tokenized assets.

  • Educational Outreach: Collaborating with the Head of Tokenization Platform Strategy, and the FDAM investment research, data science and digital asset strategist teams in conducting educational sessions and workshops to enhance awareness and understanding of tokenization concepts and asset tokenization models and token economics.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience working in one or more of these areas: structured finance, securitization, collateralized lending or Delta One product development, liquidity and trading preferably in asset management and/or sell-side investment banking or trading.

  • 3+ years of experience working with blockchain and related technology and exceptional understanding of token standards and designing tokenomics, regulatory compliance, and objectives/utilities in tokenizing assets; knowledge of, and/or experience in, DeFi a plus.

  • Demonstrated deep technical aptitude and experience in product design and development, trading and liquidity in at least one of the following areas: structured finance, securitization, collateralized lending, Delta One products.

  • Intellectually curious with a passion for financial markets and innovation, being at the forefront of developing business models in investment products and financial services and providing effective investment solutions for investors in the new crypto asset class.

  • Proven experience in development and product structuring leading to the successful launch of a range of investment strategies and vehicle types and legal structures.

  • Deep understanding of retail, intermediary, and institutional distribution channels and their specific client needs and competitor sets.

  • Refined leadership and influence skills, strategic and critical thinking skills, excellent judgment, and decision-making skills, and professional maturity, confidence, presence, and initiative.

  • Strong track record of collaborating with others and working effectively in a team environment to guide decision-making, issue resolution, managing risks, and building consensus.

  • Experience and demonstrated success working in a high performing team environment experiencing rapid growth and change in a diverse, financial services firm.

  • Highly effective communicator with excellent writing, presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to crisply articulate complex concepts in a digestible manor to senior audiences with poise and confidence.

  • Strong educational credentials: CFA, MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred.

  • Series 7 & 63 licenses (can be obtained while in role).
