Job Description:

As a Health & Welfare (H&W) Process Engineer you will be an individual contributor supporting operating model transformation within H&W. You are able to learn quickly and work independently to drive significant, cross-functional re-engineering projects, with a heavy emphasis on identifying and documenting process and technology opportunities which deliver substantial business value. You are customer-focused and passionate about using process, technology, and data to solve sophisticated business problems. You will regularly communicate and interact with business leaders and domain partners to support the development and deployment of impactful solutions. 

The Team

The H&W Process Engineer within Fidelity Health’s Health & Welfare Domain is focused on driving process transformation using technology solutions to scale client delivery and client servicing. The Process Engineer supports several Product Areas and works with cross-functional Agile Scrum teams (squads), technology, and a diverse set of H&W Operations, Servicing, and Delivery business partners.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in process re-engineering; Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Experience in health care, benefits administration, benefits outsourcing services preferred
  • Experience working in or with operations, client implementation, or client servicing
  • Proven strategic end-to-end business thinking, planning and decision making
  • Proven success autonomously leading business improvement projects
  • Strong relationship building, interpersonal and influencing skills to stay aligned with key business partners
  • Ability to interpret data, analyze complex issues and identify actionable improvement opportunities
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills with an ability to succinctly present key findings
  • Understanding of agile and product development methodologies
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever evolving and growing organization

  • You will evaluate and re-engineer complex end-to-end processes in partnership with H&W domain leaders, product owners, operations process leaders, client services and other partners
  • You will lead and facilitate sessions to understand and document current state, identify problems, and define preferred future state
  • You will build an inventory of opportunities/focus areas for business prioritization and product delivery
  • Your process transformation work will align partners to a future state vision and contribute to the successful adoption and rollout of new product capabilities
  • You will support and collaborate with your H&W domain partners on the delivery of solutions to drive scale, reduce turnaround times, reduce risk and/or improve quality

Fidelity’s working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
