Job Description:

Director – Wealth Solutions Finance

The Finance Director Wealth Solutions Finance role will report directly to the Head of Wealth Solutions (WS) Finance and will provide financial management supporting the domain. This role will collaborate very closely with WS business partners to understand the impact of business strategy, perform customer analytics, and drive the measurement of the business performance for the domain. The role includes the Solutions and development of finance associates in support of the work. The role will work closely with the WS Business and Fidelity Wealth (FW) Finance leaders.

  • Applicants must have strong analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Advanced experience with various software applications.
  • Considerable experience building and leading finance teams to support financial and strategic processes and initiatives.
  • Skill to navigate through complex interpersonal support and challenges
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Finance with a successful record in financial modeling and analysis
  • Experience in finance, strategy, or product development roles across multiple businesses
  • Ability and passion for connecting and establishing relationships at all levels of the organization and consistent record to consult and influence senior leader actions!
  • Thinks and works across Fidelity, navigates organizational complexity, and thinks in terms of networks!
  • Possess the requisite balance of interpersonal skills and analytical abilities to recognize impact on others and adapt to be effective in different situations

The Wealth Solutions Director will possess a shown history to combine a strategic business perspective with strong project management and analytical skills. This is a leadership role on the wealth Solutions finance team. We will work closely with the Wealth Solutions business to deliver actionable financial analysis and decision support that impacts FW’s strategy, ability to implement the multi-year plan and drive the business performance measurement for the business. We will provide the leadership for all the financial planning and analysis functions. This role will also play a key leadership role within the group by leading responsibilities for the junior financial analysts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Executive, Board, and Operating Committee analyses and presentations, including leadership of financial portions of QBR and planning discussions with FW SLT and other senior audiences
  • Strategic and operational financial support of key Wealth Solutions offerings: Advisory Products, Retirement solutions, Planning & Guidance, and Insurance products.
  • FP&A activities (strategic and multi-year planning, budgeting, and forecasting; financial close for income statement and balance sheet; revenue and expense analysis; client and product profitability Solutions; reporting and analysis; etc.) supporting FW’s 20,000+ associates and $4B+ of direct expenses
  • Strategic and tactical Finance leadership of multiple strategic FW initiatives, including but not limited to Contingency Planning and Cross Fidelity initiatives
  • Support across FW business performance Solutions processes, including the evolution of Objectives and important metrics, scorecards, Domo, etc.
  • FW Finance leadership for Finance Modernization efforts including development of various costing and profitability models
  • Developing illuminating customer analytics and insightful business results and performance
  • The WS Director will serve as a proxy for WS Finance VP to various internal audiences
