Position Description:

Authors solution requirements, user stories, and system specifications for moderate to complex software systems using SQL. Improves the maintainability of automation platforms – Selenium — to support functional testing. Delivers complex technology solutions and achieving results using Java web services. Provides analysis leadership on complex systems analysis projects, often across subsystems and companies, in a matrix organization. Consults with business users to develop recommendations that address difficult and complex business needs and opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads and conducts interviews with business users to gather requirements and analyzes technology needs and system and workflow challenges.
  • Develops recommendations that address difficult and complex business needs and opportunities.
  • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex systems analysis projects, and defines project scope.
  • Leads other analysts in the execution of documents on large and complex projects and monitors the quality and progress of documents created by other analysts.
  • Designs new systems based on requirements.
  • Leads and participates in the definition of test strategies, develops systems test plan, executes functional and regression test cases and coordinates user acceptance testing efforts.
  • Communicates progress of multiple projects to management, engages stakeholders on a regular basis, and manages expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serves as industry subject matter expert and identifies other subject matter experts who are the sources of requirements for large and complex projects.
  • Works with other teams to evolve standards and best practices for systems analysis processes.
  • Participates in incident/crisis management to assess business impact, determine/facilitate any workarounds, in concert with the production support organization.
  • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies.
  • Coaches and mentors junior product analysts and developers on systems analysis techniques and business workflows.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) designing defined contribution contract and order management systems.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) designing defined contribution contract and order management systems.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing dynamic contract and order management systems based on data properties used to track Financial Service Models, product versions, orders, audit history and data archival, using Angular Framework, Java, J2EE, REST APIs, Json, XMLs, Postman, SOA Tools, ASP, HTML, T-SQL and Advanced Oracle PL/SQL programming.
  • DE gathering requirements and designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for financial and health care services —  401k, 403b, and HSA products — to implement scalable and efficient services and databases, using advanced data structure and Object Oriented concepts (Binary Tree, Binary Search Tree, Graphs and Entity Relationship, tree traversal algorithm and implementation of regular Expressions); and defining regulatory business rules in Drools Engine using Drools Rule Language (DRL).
  • DE analyzing and designing order workflow management platforms to enable business users to create new orders, amend and restate existing orders (based on client requirements), and migrate orders from legacy systems — 3NF data modeling to Key Value paired, data mapping, and denormalized forms; and defining system architecture and component interaction functionalities using Unified Modeling Language (UML) — state diagrams, flow charts, and sequence and activity diagrams.
  • DE analyzing and migrating platform application components into Software as a Service (SaaS), using private/hybrid Cloud; onboarding applications on Azure Kubernetes Services; and defining and modeling role-based policy authorization using Fortress.

Salary:  $132,870.00 – $148,700.00/year.
