Job Description:

Head of Fidelity Insurance Agency (FIA)

The Head of FIA, will be a member of the Wealth Solutions leadership team within Fidelity Wealth. This role is accountable for developing and driving Insurance Protection solutions as part of an overall Wealth offering available to millions of Fidelity’s retail customers. These insurance protection solutions include Term Life Insurance, Fixed and Variable Annuities and Long TermCare products that, as part of our expert Wealth Solutions offering, can help our customers achieve their financial and wealth protection goals. The primary responsibility for the role is to create go to market and commercialization strategies to integrate insurance protection products into a broader OneWealth offering, which can seamlessly service more customers by bundling these solutions with others most suited to their needs.

Additionally, the Head of FIA will lead the organization focusing on the following:

• Evaluate product viability and value propositions with SAI, conduct industry and competitive analysis, evaluate carrier offerings for value to the customer and conduct actuarial due diligence and support.

• Continue to drive efficiencies in operations by seeking opportunities for digital delivery and enhanced features for customers of all segments. Maintain Fidelity’s leadership position in establishing Fidelity Insurance Network (FIN) carrier level innovation and processes.

• Partnering closely with key internal stakeholders to integrate solutions into Fidelity’s Planning tools, methodology and product selection processes, integrating with vendors for seamless account opening and contract delivery, coordinating recordkeeping for the proprietary and for 3rd party carriers, and integrate with advisor tools for appointment setting.

• Sales and Distribution Support: Partner closely with the sales teams and advisors to provide training and subject matter expertise when talking to customers about Insurance products

• Client Services and Operations: Supporting customers with a variety of needs including: Application review, NIGO support, Inbound/Outbound phones, Case Management and claims distributions

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 15+ years of business leadership experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Business or related field a plus

• Senior-level experience developing Insurance Protection strategies aligned with and in support of the strategic direction of the business and leading cross-functional and crossbusiness unit teams to execute those strategies

• Consistent record of collaboration across business areas aligning on a common visiting to improve customer outcomes Fidelity Internal Information

• Working knowledge and experience with delivering solutions through matrixed Agile structures

• You are a results driven leader obsessed with improving customer protection outcomes by offering market leading insurance and annuity products

• You have an expert-level ability to build collaborative relationships and influence at all levels within and across the organization with the proven ability and passion to help customers realize their financial goals

• You demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to effectively structure and deliver presentations, champion recommendations, and influence decisions at all levels of management

• You take pride in being an authentic leader and culture carrier who inspires creativity and innovation, proactively develops and shares knowledge, and builds a culture of inclusion and continuous learning with a focus on associate growth while simultaneously ensuring that quality standards, consistency and voice are maintained throughout.

Reporting to the Head of Wealth Solutions, this leader will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and will partner across key partners within Fidelity Wealth and across the enterprise. The mission of Fidelity Insurance Agency (FIA) is to ensure our clients do not outlive their assets in retirement, safeguard one’s portfolio from market volatility and protect against premature death and unforeseen long-term care costs. We do this by expertly evaluating and delivering protection (proprietary and/or 3rd party) products that are in the best interest of our customers.
