Job Description:

Position Description: 

 

Loads, extracts, transforms, and manages data across a wide array of database schemas across diverse content using SQL, R, and Python. Designs and develops dynamic visualizations and data analysis by delivering compelling, interactive, and intuitive Business Intelligence (BI) solutions utilizing Tableau, Power BI and Salesforce. Engages with stakeholders to gather requirements, conducts thorough exploratory analysis, and efficiently uses Snowflake SQL to gather and validate data from multiple views and schemas. Utilizes Jira for story management, ensures seamless coordination and tracking throughout the project lifecycle. Develops strategic capabilities that foster a data driven culture. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develops and delivers innovative data visualization and analytic tools focused on driving digitization of service delivering an enhanced customer experience and cost efficiency.  

  • Provides recommendations to influence strategic decision making based on insights, analysis, and subject matter expertise 

  • Creates new processes, performs complex analytical calculations, identifies anomalies, and produces new reporting capabilities by analyzing large, complex data sets and showing mastery of the end-to-end BI process.  

  • Performs business, systems, and data analysis, detailed process design, and acceptances testing across projects that require new content 

  • Plans and manages project schedules and assignments for multiple, concurrent projects that are in a fast-paced environment leading the projects to successful completion in a timely manner. 

  • Engages with technology partners to ensure the integrity and usability of data being sourced and incorporated into reporting artifacts.  

  • Resolves various project/technology issues and manages deliverables by holding accountability.  

  • Garners scope and requirements with stakeholders, documents process logic, and maintains coding standard that helps efficient process implementation. 

 

Education and Experience: 

 

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Manager, Data Analytics and Insights (or closely related occupation) performing data analysis and generating recommendations by building BI solutions in the financial services industry, using Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, and Python.  

 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Manager, Data Analytics and Insights (or closely related occupation) performing data analysis and generating recommendations by building BI solutions in the financial services industry, using Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, and Python. 

 

Skills and Knowledge:  

 

Candidate must also possess: 

 

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) transforming data, analyzing data models, and delivering data visualization solutions within a financial services environment, using Tableau, Power BI, Python, MS Visual Studio, and Excel; and developing user stories and acceptance criteria using JIRA and JIRA Align, to be able to manage Kanban board and Scrum meetings as a dual hat Scrum Master. 

  • DE performing requirements gathering and extracting data from databases – CTEs using MS SQL Server, Snowflake, and Oracle — using SQL/SQL tools; creating reports, BI dashboards, ad-hoc analyses, scoping documentation, and facilitating discussions with business partners, using Excel and PowerPoint; and developing rapid prototyping and analyses.  

  • DE performing statistical and data analysis — financial transactions, assets, flows, redemptions, and product data analysis — to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations; developing data visualizations and dynamic and interactive dashboards and analysis to support stakeholder requirements — oversight and risk ad-hoc requests, and implementation of end user adoption of online tools using Power BI. 

  • DE performing project life cycle execution — engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements, conducting thorough exploratory analysis using SQL, efficiently gathering, and validating data from multiple views and schemas in MS SQL Server/Snowflake, documenting code logic, and maintaining a transparent and efficient project workflow with a focus on optimizing efficiency and ensuring data integrity.
