Job Description:
Agile Scrum Master/System Analyst
Fidelity’s Workplace Consulting Digital Solution Technology team designs, develops, implements, and supports a suite of custom client digital applications along with digital product offerings. The Value You Deliver

Assist the Agile Scrum team adhere to Scrum theory, practices, and rules

Coaching the squad and organization in its Agile adoption

Work with the Squad Leader and squad to ensure all work is tracked in the backlog, scrum team capacity is utilized effectively, and work is accurately balanced across team members

Collaborating closely with the Squad Leader to plan and execute the highest priority work as per the quarterly roadmap

Guiding the squad and organization on how to use Agile practices and values to delight both internal and external customers

Understanding the product features and breaking them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria

Maintaining a strong focus on execution/delivery, helping to identify and remove blockers the team is facing

Encourage Agile behaviors, reinforcing practices, norms, ceremonies, and supporting the overall program team’s performance and efficiency

Ability to work across technology, business, and operational functions at an enterprise level

Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in an Agile environment

Encourage and enable agile ways of working and take a continuous improvement approach

Work closely with Product Area, Squad/Chapter Leads, Scrum Masters, and other team members to help ensure that strategy and execution are aligned.

Work with team to deliver incremental objectives and to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.

Facilitate frequent cross team events to ensure teams are in sync

Help manage and track both key dependencies and technical impediments impacting the program.

Developing artifacts that articulate both business and technical needs and support efficient and effective solution delivery; ex. functional and non-functional user stories, process maps/workflows, system diagrams

Ability to assess and integrate latest information and requirements into plans seamlessly
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
-
Scrum Master certification to play Agile Scrum Master role for a development team that is diligently applying Agile principles, practices, and theory.

Experience working with Enterprise tools such as Confluence, FlowMetrics, Jira, and Miro
-
Eager to learn about technical agility – DevOps, CI/CD, branching and merging strategies, deployment strategy
-
Ability to identify and assess technology solutions, noting both the technical and operational (people/process) dependencies
-
Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Agile approach (example: numerous Burn-down techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs)

Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques, tools & approaches: User Stories, TDD (Test Driven Development), Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, Jira, Burn-down techniques

Understanding of the following Agile tools: JIRA, Miro, and Flow Metrics

Team mentality with strong engagement and ability to understand strategy and decisions

You are intellectually curious and enthusiastic about learning new skills, and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching

The role will involve business requirements review, systems requirements and capability analysis, solution design, and working closely with business partners and the development team.

Strong proficiency and experience with agile practices, processes, and artifacts, and in applying scrum methodologies in a software development environment.

Experience in interpreting agile metrics to help identify and drive improvement opportunities, with a proven passion for mentoring and supporting teams.

Experience in using tools such as JIRA and Confluence, with a deep understanding of JIRA Scrum Boards

Experience in tracking and reporting on team progress in an agile environment

Scrum Master certification (CSM/PSM) preferred
-
Knowledge of Cloud concepts, Middle Tiers (API), and Web applications built on Angular

Financial services experience preferred
