Institutional Wealth Management Services (IWMS) is looking for a Team Leader for the Application & Infrastructure Support, Center of Excellence. Candidates will blend a deep passion for technology, leadership, and fostering growth within the team. You’ll play a crucial role in managing both infrastructure and production support for the Wealthscape platform, ensuring seamless operations, and driving continuous improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record of guiding teams through technical challenges while empowering them to develop and advance their skills.
In this role, the leader will be responsible for overseeing the platform’s infrastructure and ensuring production support is handling efficiently. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the platform meets the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and performance. The candidate should bring a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and effective communication skills to lead their team and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
The candidate will also demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, ensuring that infrastructure and support needs are met while maintaining the agility to adapt to changing business requirements. They should have experience developing engineering teams, driving technical excellence, and providing a stable and high-performing production environment for critical business applications.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
- Production Support & Incident Management
- Lead incident response efforts by quickly engaging the appropriate engineering teams to ensure the right experts are brought in to resolve issues efficiently
- Act as primary point of coordination during incident bridges, overseeing the triage process and driving low mean time to recovery (MTTR)
- Providing regular incident updates and coordinating incident responses.
- Communicate effectively with executive leadership, providing clear and concise updates on incidents and operational status.
- Cloud Infrastructure Expertise:
- Strong experience with both on-prem and AWS cloud environments
- Experience with AWS Services
- Familiarity with Terracore/OpenTofu
- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and solutions
- Software Engineering Leadership:
- Proven track record of leading engineering teams
- Ability to mentor and develop engineers
- Experience driving technical decisions and set strategic direction
- Infrastructure Management & Production Support
- Expertise in managing infrastructure for mission-critical applications
- Expertise in setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills in production environments
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and execution
- DevOps, Security and Automation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools (Jenkins, GitHub)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terracore/CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
- Experience managing access control, identity management, and certificates
The Purpose of Your Role
The purpose of this role is to lead the engineering team responsible for managing and optimizing the infrastructure and production support for the Wealthscape platform. The leader will ensure the platform operates reliably, securely, and efficiently, while driving continuous improvements in both technical solutions and team performance. This position will involve overseeing cloud infrastructure, application management, and supporting a high-performing team to meet business needs.

The Wealthscape platform provides firms, clients, advisers, and customers with wealth management services. This role directly impacts the organization by ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of Wealthscape. As a leader within the IWMS space, this role plays a vital part in overseeing the infrastructure and production support for multiple product areas that create applications for Wealthscape. By managing and optimizing these systems, the team leader ensure that the platform meets the high standards required for supporting Fidelity’s core business operations.
