The Role

Seeking a hardworking, curious person who thrives in an exciting, fast-paced team. The Cybersecurity Insider Threat team engages in high-profile security projects to improve Fidelity’s security posture and prevent data leakage. The candidate will be immersed in a setting that spans various operating systems, addressing a constantly evolving threat landscape, working with numerous security teams to help solve real-life problems and providing support and maintenance of production environments.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, with 2-3 years of industry experience in software development, automation, design, and analytics. You should have an understanding of Data, Cyber, and Cloud security, with experience following security standards, controls, and architecture. We are looking for a curious mind with a solid foundation developing back and front-end technologies in large scale multi-cloud environments, who is a quick learner and can easily adapt to new tools and technology.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Solid understanding of security standards, controls, and architecture, along with application, server, database, and network infrastructure knowledge, in large-scale, enterprise-class contexts

  • Some experience with rapid prototyping of new concepts, technologies, and development methods and familiarity with DevOps concepts and principles

  • Proven understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal, and technology illustrations.

  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience in several of the following languages and frameworks: Python, Angular, Spring boot, C#, ASP.NET, Bootstrap, CSS/HTML, PowerShell, and shell scripting

  • Experience with Cloud development, specifically within AWS and Azure, and familiarity with tools such as Docker, Ansible, and Kubernetes

  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and supporting infrastructure, system, and security configurations and policies.

The Team

The Software Engineer – Data Loss Prevention will be working on a team of systems and software engineers focusing on Insider Risk and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). This role will involve working closely with Data Analytics, Insider Operations, Security Operations Center, and Security Architecture teams to help mitigate risk across Fidelity’s computing environment.
