The Role
As a senior software engineer in Web Access Management, you will design, build, and operate scalable backend systems and cloud-native services. This role plays a critical part in building and maintaining secure authentication and authorization systems, with direct responsibility for protecting user identities, access, and sensitive data across Fidelity. This role requires strong engineering fundamentals, hands-on experience with Go (preferred), and proven expertise in cloud deployments.
Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, reliable backend services using Go (experience with additional languages such as Java, C, Python is a plus)
Own services throughout their lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and operations
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines
Employ problem solving skills to analyze sophisticated engineering challenges
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
4 years of programming experience in Go Java, Node.js, or comparable building high throughput APIs.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Strong problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
Passion for CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices to increase delivery velocity
Foundation of Docker and Kubernetes operational skills and tools
Experience with cloud providers and platforms such as AWS and Azure
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Envoy proxy configuration (service meshes, routing/load balancing systems)
Familiarity with observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing)
Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance
Experience designing systems for high availability and fault tolerance
Prior experience leading medium-to-large technical initiatives
