Job Description:

Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

The Team
Come join Fidelity as we have our Better Way of Working! Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to join the Fidelity Wealth Solutions Engineering chapter focused on greater delivery, efficiency, and quality. Our engineering team is innovative, diverse, passionate, and self-driven. We work in a very dynamic, agile environment. You will work in a Squad focused on enabling the Household Parameter Sheet (HPS) Platform — the central engine that processes and delivers critical investment parameters to Fidelity’s strategic partners across both Workplace Investing and Personal Investing. You will report to a Chapter Leader (your manager), whose primary focus is to help you develop your career and skills as we drive toward increased automation, continuous delivery with quality. Chapter Leaders drive the ‘how’: skills and mastery, while your Squad drives the ‘what’. This is the next evolution of Agile development!

The Purpose
As a Systems Analyst on the BrewCrew team, you will be embedded in a squad that owns the HPS Platform — a suite of REST APIs and AWS-based microservices that drive the end-to-end lifecycle of Household Parameter Sheets delivered to strategic partners. The platform supports enrollment flows and downstream processing for both Workplace and Retail/Personal Investing clients. You will quickly gain deep understanding of all platform components and work with the team to deliver best-in-class solutions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically astute, comfortable testing and analyzing APIs hands-on, and shows ease at making personal connections, leading constructively, and solving complex analytical challenges with a dedicated and ownership-driven approach.

The Expertise You Have
• 8 years of professional experience as a Systems Analyst supporting software solutions in a financial services or enterprise technology environment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technology discipline
• Strong working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON payloads, and API integration patterns across distributed microservices
• Hands-on experience testing and validating REST APIs using tools such as Bruno, Postman, or equivalent — including building request collections, validating response contracts, and debugging API failures
• Experience with API versioning strategies and hands-on participation in API version migration efforts — including impact analysis, consumer communication, contract comparison, and regression validation across microservices
• Proven experience with Splunk for log analysis, incident investigation, distributed tracing across microservices, and building dashboards and alert monitors for production observability
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, S3, SQS, and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka/Kinesis streams)
• Familiarity with Java/Spring Boot microservice architecture for the purpose of analysis, reverse engineering, and documentation (hands-on coding not required)
• Proficiency in creating system flow diagrams, process maps, data mapping documents, microservice dependency maps, and solution architecture documentation
• Proven experience writing detailed business and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for complex platform changes
• Proven experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and ability to trace data across relational and NoSQL data stores
• Strong knowledge of functional and integration testing concepts; experience with tools like Cypress or equivalent is a plus
• Deep knowledge of scrum methodologies and tools — Jira experience required; Confluence documentation experience required
• Release coordination experience: managing deployment readiness, scheduling, cross-team communication, and post-release validation
• Test data generation experience, including tools like Hexawise or equivalent, is a plus
• AI/ML product awareness (e.g., supervised learning models, recommendation systems) is a plus

The Skills You Bring
• You are a detail-oriented person with a real passion for accuracy, clarity, and elimination of ambiguity
• You are deeply effective in written and verbal communications and are dedicated to tailoring content to the appropriate audience (business vs. technology, associate vs. management, etc.)
• You are a self-starter who can rapidly assimilate complex microservice platform architecture, business processes, goals, and objectives and distill them into well-defined requirements
• You understand how technology can automate business processes and can effectively propose, challenge, and engage in ideation with business and technology teams in formulating software designs and solutions
• You are comfortable working directly with REST APIs using tools like Bruno or Postman to independently validate, test, and analyze microservice behavior without requiring developer handholding
• You can navigate Splunk to independently investigate log trails, trace failures across service boundaries, and communicate findings clearly to developers and stakeholders
• You excel at creating and maintaining Confluence documentation — from architecture overviews to detailed runbooks, API migration guides, onboarding docs, and process flows
• You assist in identification, isolation, resolution, and communication of problems within production and non-production environments and perform root-cause troubleshooting
• You are flexible and can adjust your work schedule to accommodate both U.S. and India-based teams and associates
• Good interpersonal and leadership and influencing skills (without direct authority of others)
• Self-driven, self-managed, energetic, passionate, and motivated with the ability to work independently to deliver results

The Value You Deliver
• Ensuring the technology team is building the right software solutions and components to maximize customer experience
• Facilitating flow of requirements from the business to the technology team, translating complex HPS platform needs into actionable user stories and sprint-ready backlog items
• Owning end-to-end documentation of the HPS Platform — system flows, data mappings, microservice integration contracts, API migration guides, and release notes maintained in Confluence
• Driving API version migration analysis — documenting breaking changes, coordinating consumer impact assessments, validating updated contracts using Bruno/Postman, and ensuring smooth cutover across dependent microservices
• Leading Splunk-based observability efforts — building dashboards, defining alert thresholds, and performing log analysis to proactively detect and triage production incidents
• Driving release management coordination: scheduling, readiness reviews, deployment communication, and post-release validation
• Reducing requirements and design risk and resulting costs associated with rework and redesign through rigorous upfront analysis
• Partnering with developers to support and validate REST API contracts, JSON payloads, Kafka event flows, and AWS service integrations
• Exercising a passion for keeping your knowledge up-to-date with the latest and greatest in platform tooling, AWS capabilities, and financial technology
• Helping maintain the high level of integrity in the team
• Taking ownership and accountability for figuring out what needs to be done
