SVP, Head of Investment Sales Desk
The Role
As a critical leadership role within the firm, the SVP, Head of Investment Sales Desk drives growth, client engagement, and market impact across Fidelity’s intermediary business by leading sales teams that support wealth, insurance, and defined contribution channels. This leader oversees the distribution of a comprehensive suite of solutions—including mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, alternatives, and model portfolios—while advancing custom portfolio construction capabilities. Reporting to the Head of Intermediary Distribution, this role sets the strategic direction for the sales desk, builds strong cross-functional partnerships, and ensures financial advisors are equipped with actionable investment insights and practice management thought leadership.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead large organization of 175+ associates in hybrid and internal wholesaling, inbound phone sales, and internships with teams dedicated to Core Wealth, DCIO, Insurance, Edward Jones, ETF, ALTS, and Models
- Set team’s strategy to distribute Fidelity’s mutual fund, ETF, ALTS, model, custom model, SMA, custom SMA, CIT, and portfolio construction capabilities across 82,000 intermediaries
- Drive value proposition to grow advisor practices and help them achieve better investor outcomes through portfolio construction, thought leadership, and practice management
- Prioritize collaboration across FI sales channels, Fidelity business units, investment strategists, sales enablement, learning and engagement, marketing, finance, data, and human resources
- Create an experience for our associates and managers rooted in accountability for business strategy, constant development, thriving culture, and robust career vitality
Industry Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years of successful sales experience in the financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of the RIA, Broker Dealer, Retirement and Institutional Insurance markets
- A thorough understanding of the industry, financial markets, and competitive landscape
- Prior leadership experience
- Series 7, 63 required; 24 & 51 must be obtained within the first 90 days in position
- Travel- 1 Week, minimum, per month to Westlake, TX.
