Reporting into Head of Client Engagement Group, this SVP role will strategically lead Fidelity Philanthropic Services’ engagement with ultra-high-net-worth donors and advisors by developing innovative philanthropic strategies, deepening relationships, and driving charitable impact.
This leader will span through donor strategy, advisor engagement and cross-channel coordination and oversee a team responsible for our largest donor relationships along with overseeing regional teams focused on field advisor engagement for Fidelity’s internal BU channels

Build and inspire high-performing teams while fostering strategic partnerships that expand donor engagement, advisor influence, and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership in the Donor and Advisor Communities
Serve as the leader responsible for shaping and executing Fidelity Philanthropic Services’ strategy for engaging field advisors and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) donors, including those in the Perspectives segment ($100M+ accounts) and the Private Donor Group (PDG) ($5M+ accounts) focusing on grantmaking and donor strategies.
Drive innovation in philanthropic engagement, ensuring Fidelity Philanthropic Services remains a trusted advisor and thought leader in the evolving donor landscape.
Lead the development of differentiated donor experiences, integrating investment strategy, philanthropic education, and family office dynamics.
Oversee private donor strategy and field advisor engagement initiatives across retail and institutional channels, including advisor acquisition inside desk based in Fidelity’s Raleigh, NC and Westlake, TX sites.
This leader will span through donor strategy, advisor engagement and cross-channel coordination. The manager would oversee a team responsible for our largest donor relationships along with overseeing two large regional teams focused on field advisor engagement for Fidelity’s PI and FI channels. Additionally, the head of the inside sales desk focused on advisor acquisition would be a direct report.
This SVP would be responsible for 4 teams: Private Donor Group, Regional Vice Presidents (PI), Charitable Planning Consultants (FI) and Advisor Acquisition inside sales desk (PI & FI).
Executive Oversight and Vision
Provide executive oversight to a team of VP and Director level philanthropic strategists, inside sales desk, charitable planning consultants and regional vice presidents ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor expectations.
Champion a culture of excellence, partnership, and continuous learning across the Client Engagement Group.
Collaborate with team leaders to prioritize and execute business objectives across CEG organization.
Donor and Advisor Engagement Strategy
Oversee the design and execution of personalized, holistic donor strategies that address grantmaking, complex philanthropic goals, including impact investing, alternative assets, and multi-generational giving.
Ensure the team delivers proactive, high-touch relationship management that deepens donor and advisor engagement and drives long-term loyalty.
Act as a senior relationship lead to a select portfolio of strategic donor families and institutions.
Sector Influence and Innovation
Serve as a public-facing leader and spokesperson for Fidelity Philanthropic Services, representing the organization at national and global philanthropic forums.
Lead initiatives that position Fidelity Philanthropic Services as a convener and catalyst in the philanthropic ecosystem, including donor learning communities, giving circles, and sector partnerships.
Act as leading voice and advocate for the advisor community
Advance innovation in areas such as cryptocurrency philanthropy, complex asset contributions, alternative investing and international granting.
Strategic Partnerships and Growth
Collaborate with fundraising, charitable planning, and Fidelity Private Wealth teams to identify and cultivate new UHNW donor opportunities and enable grantmaking.
Build and strengthen strategic alliances with nonprofit organizations, philanthropic networks, and family office advisors.
Contribute to business development efforts by integrating philanthropic strategy into the broader donor acquisition and retention pipeline.
Incorporate new relationship management framework for key PDG and Perspectives donors.
Organizational Impact
Promote Fidelity Philanthropic Services’ brand and leadership in the philanthropic sector and advisor community.
Support innovation and growth across donor and advisor segments and strategic initiatives.
Lead donor collaboration and cross-relationship management efforts with business unit leaders across Fidelity business units.
Partner on the implementation and growth of the institutional Donor Advised Fund business line.
Expertise You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. MBA, or equivalent preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience at the senior level including strategic decision making, business judgment, and leadership of large, multi-location teams, with multiple stakeholder groups and co-dependencies for success,
A minimum of 10 to 15 years in financial services, charitable and holistic financial planning, corporate benefits consulting, or administration, and/or institutional client relationship management and business development or related sales industry experience
Competitor Focus: Ability to quicky decipher changes in the philanthropy sector and from competitors and advise the rest of the senior leadership team on how to respond.
Data Driven: Deep expertise in implementing concise and transparent metrics and using data analytics as a tool for decision-making
Ability to represent Fidelity Charitable effectively to donors, advisor influencers and other business leaders.
Collaborative, flexible and adaptive to meet challenges with a winning outlook.
Interpersonal: high-energy leadership and ability to rally a team to top performance while building loyalty and trust
Technical Expertise & Consulting Skills: Detailed understanding of IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) public charities and Donor Advised Funds, regulatory laws related to Exempt Organizations and tax-deductible charitable giving, and investment management, including investment management and oversight including private capital and alternative investments.
Stakeholder management: Identify and team with key internal and external stakeholders to expand distribution.
Communication Skills: Demonstrated public speaking and thought leadership expertise ability to establish a following of industry leaders.
Travel Requirements:
Building deep connections with Private Donor Group donors and field advisors is a key component of Fidelity Philanthropic Services’ work. As such, this role is expected to spend at least 50% of their time traveling to in-person meetings and events.

Since 1991, Fidelity Philanthropic Services has introduced tens of thousands of donors to the benefits — and increased charitable impact — of using a donor-advised fund to meet their philanthropic goals. This nonprofit division of Fidelity Investments helps individuals and families make tax-efficient charitable donations and distribute those funds to charities over time. Fidelity Philanthropic Services is governed by an independent Board of Trustees, which has hired Fidelity Investments as the service provider to the charity. Fidelity Investments provides all of the charitable organization’s employees and supports all of its functions: Program Development, Marketing, Service Delivery, Relationship Management, Legal, Investments, Finance, Technology, Risk and Compliance, and Fundraising.
The base salary range for this position is $185,000-$400,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
