The Role
We build incredible products in the Workplace investing business that help people plan for financial success and ultimately their retirement. Fidelity’s Architecture and Engineering team is looking for a proven architecture leader for the Workplace Platforms supporting the Workplace Investing business. These are mature and critical platforms, that are constantly being enhanced and modernized thus require strong architecture strategies that align to the business and enterprise technology roadmaps. We are looking for a senior Architect to lead a team of talented architects supporting these product and engineering teams. You will provide leadership, coaching and guidance to enable this team to closely partner with product and engineering on roadmaps, provide end-to-end architecture and support implementation.
The Expertise You Have
- Demonstrable experience in leading technical leaders, especially architects.
- Demonstrable experience in partnering with product and engineering leaders to shape strategy, roadmap, and implementation approaches.
- Experience practicing Business Architecture including aligning Business and Technology strategies, Customer Journeys, Capability Modeling and Roadmaps
- Demonstrable understanding in all aspects of technical architecture (operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization)
- Collaborating with peer and enterprise architects to align on standards, strategy, and opportunities to refactor business processes, improve customer experience or perform capability rationalization.
- Ability to work both independently and with different levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.
- Experience in Modern Architecture and Cloud Technologies to build sophisticated architecture
- Experience in financial services and/or benefits management is a plus.

- Platform Modernization Experience: Hands-on knowledge with modernizing financial platforms, using enterprise patterns and tools to deliver enterprise-scale, secure and highly resilient solutions that will be the building blocks for our business.
- Influencing Skills: Employs collaborative approach to gain consensus and support for the needs of the work. Understands organizational dynamics and adapts proposals to efficiently navigate constraints

The Team
WI Security Architecture operates within Fidelity Architecture and Engineering and is responsible for laying a solid foundation for Workplace Investments (WI) to secure customer and associate interactions. The team supports the WI Customer Protection Center of Excellence, as well as teams within WI and across Fidelity, to collaboratively define the security architecture for customer identity, authentication, authorization, fraud mitigation, cloud security, and data privacy.
