Position Description:

Creates and maintains data mappings to assist designing User Interface (UI) screens. Develops User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and plans and coordinates testing efforts. Provides analysis on complex systems analysis projects, often across subsystems and companies, in an Agile, cross matrix organization. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex systems analysis projects and defines project scope, using JIRA. Loads files in test environments using Control-M and performs data validation using Dbeaver. Delivers quality software with multiple releases, using test automation, integration testing, and Web and mobile testing tools. Creates prototype models to show system behavior before building and implementing new product or changes into the system, using MS Visio.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drives software product execution and delivery on cross-functional projects.
  • Builds and improves upon technical architecture of Web and mobile applications.
  • Provides assistance to business users, systems partners, Quality Assurance (QA) testers, and project team members.
  • Mentors analysts in the execution of documents on large and complex projects; and monitors the quality and progress of documents created by other analysts.
  • Coordinates user involvement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participates in the definition of test strategies.
  • Communicates progress of multiple projects to management.
  • Works with teams to evolve standards and best practices for systems analysis processes.
  • Participates in incident and crisis management to assess business impact and determine and facilitate solutions in concert with production support.
  • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies.
  • Mentors junior analysts on systems analysis techniques and business workflows.
  • Develops, documents, and revises system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
  • Consults with management to ensure agreement on system principles.
  • Coordinates with senior management to drive and participate in the day-to-day program execution.
  • Participates in and prepares content for team sessions, captures understanding of assigned application, and takes on shadow support.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Consultant, Business Analysis (or closely related occupation) performing business development analysis using Microsoft Suite and JIRA within an Agile environment.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Consultant, Business Analysis (or closely related occupation) performing business development analysis using Microsoft Suite and JIRA within an Agile environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) analyzing and documenting client business requirements and processes, constructing conceptual data and process models, and documenting data dictionaries or volume estimates to communicate requirements; and leading different phases of scrum -- sprint planning, daily scrums, and review retrospective meetings -- using Microsoft Suite or Jira.
  • DE developing, documenting, and revising system design procedures and quality standards, using Confluence.
  • DE creating user stories and backlog grooming, using Jira in an Agile delivery environment.
  • DE creating complex test case scenarios for testing and monitoring business applications to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design, using Microsoft Suite or HP Quality Center.
