The Role

Fidelity Investments is seeking a Senior Analyst to join a highly motivated eDiscovery team within the Legal Department. The role requires familiarity with electronic data preservation, collection and analysis.

The Senior eDiscovery Analyst manages, monitors, and responds to multiple requests to collect electronically stored information (ESI), such as emails and electronic data. This position requires knowledge of the eDiscovery process and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). The qualified candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, global culture, where learning new skills and quick problem solving is critical to success.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Intake, execute and track multiple requests to collect electronically stored information (ESI), including, but not limited to: (1) email, (2) instant messages, (3) electronic documents, (4) back-up tapes, and (5) databases.

  • Log and update request details (progress) into workflow database.

  • Communicate status among different groups including: (1) eDiscovery team members, (2) litigation support, (3) in-house counsel, (4) corporate security, (5) compliance, and, (6) other business users.

  • Ensure accuracy of the data collected, confirming that the search yielded the desired results.

  • Deliver data accurately and in a timely fashion.

  • Assist in refining and documenting the eDiscovery team's processes.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Experience in a large corporate environment preferred.

  • Familiarity with electronic communications (i.e. email, social networks, instant messaging, web 2.0, including wikis and blogs).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.

  • Ability to work independently, while also acting as an exceptional team player.

  • Ability to prioritize workload with competing deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.

The Team

The Legal Department at Fidelity provides guidance, oversight, and strategic counsel to ensure that Fidelity and its associates operate with integrity and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Within the department, the eDiscovery team is an integral function, responsible for identifying, preserving, and locating relevant data across the organization. They play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, completeness, and defensibility of information so that legal teams can rely on accurate and trustworthy data when addressing matters.

Together, our teams manage complex legal and compliance issues initiated by customers, regulators, and other stakeholders, including disputes, regulatory inquiries, and litigation, while partnering across the organization to mitigate risk and uphold a culture of accountability and transparency.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
