The Role

As a Quality Engineering Lead, you will be an integral part of the Digital Platform QE organization. You will ensure that project delivery meets quality standards by providing technical guidance in planning, designing, executing, testing, and developing procedures related to product quality across complex, integrated deliveries.

This role sits outside of a squad and is accountable for leading and delivering end-to-end test strategies. You will be recognized as a subject matter expert in quality practices. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills, collaborate across Fidelity teams, and continue learning in a dynamic, iterative, and constantly evolving environment.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Strong hands-on experience in automation scripting and execution for the purposes of smoke, functional and regression testing of applications under test.

  • Proven expertise in building and maintaining automation frameworks in large enterprise environments using Playwright and/or Cypress along with Karate and/or REST Assured to ensure consistent application UI behavior across browsers and devices

  • Proficiency in TypeScript and/or JavaScript

  • Experience implementing effective test data management strategies, including test data mining, automating data setup/teardown through scripts, and using service virtualization.

  • Working knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.

  • Experience with PL/SQL, including complex queries, views, and packages.

  • Understanding of cloud computing and DevOps concepts, including CI/CD pipelines using Git and Jenkins for the purposes of integrating automated tests into pipelines, test reporting and failure diagnostics.

  • Familiarity with tools for continuous integration and source control, such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, Stash, or Bitbucket

  • Well versed with analyzing logs and debugging test failures using tools like Datadog and Splunk.

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and coordinate activities across cross-regional and multi-functional teams

  • Passion for excellence, innovation, and collaboration; eager to learn and adapt continuously

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and project delivery

  • Strong technical design and analytical skills

  • Ability to investigate, isolate, and resolve technical issues across the full technology stack using both automated and manual testing methodologies

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
