Performs front end Web development and builds digital experiences for financial planning, investment, and retirement solutions. Develops and enhances Web applications using Angular, GraphQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js. Uses Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments. Writes unit test cases using Jest to ensure code quality and reliability. Performs automation testing with Cypress to validate application functionality. Implements DevOps practices and continuous delivery methodologies to enhance development workflows and deployment processes. Builds applications and implements new features to improve user experience. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
- Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
- Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
- Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
- Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
- Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
- Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
- Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
- Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
- Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing front-end development using Angular, NgRx, and JavaScript in a financial services domain.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing front-end development using Angular, NgRx, and JavaScript in a financial services domain.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing front-end financial Web applications using modern Javascript frameworks -- Angular, RxJs, Redux, NgRx, and jQuery; performing unit testing of front-end financial desktop and Web applications, using Jest; and designing functional and integration test cases for front-end financial desktop and web applications, using Cypress and Cucumber.
- DE developing front-end financial web-based applications in Angular according to Infragistics frameworks; and developing server layer using Java, NodeJs, and NestJs.
- DE providing technical support and knowledge sharing across geographically disparate business units, using Agile methodologies.
- DE developing enterprise Cloud-based financial workflow solutions using serverless architecture pattern and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud services -- Lambda, SQS, IAM, and NodeJS.

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues.
