Principal, UX Design

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our experience design team within Fidelity’s Center for Family Engagement (“FCFE”) with an emphasis on new product design. This role includes design for important business deliverables while being a liaison between key technical and business stakeholders. In addition to strong design competency, the position requires the ability to effectively work and deliver within a matrixed team across FCFE, Fidelity Brokerage & Wealth, Enterprise Services, and IWMS.

To be effective, the Principal, User Experience Design will work with key stakeholders across FCFE Relational Digital, UXD, Thought Leadership, and Engineering, to advance experimentation in the FamFinTech space.

  • Deep expertise in visual design and user research, with the ability to leverage emerging AI tools like Figma Make when appropriate while relying on strong design fundamentals to guide decisions
  • Experience creating and driving towards top level business KPIs

FCFE’s mission is “To inspire, educate, and empower families and advisors to spark and sustain conversations about the emotional, relational, and generational aspects of wealth.” You will be aligned with FCFE’s Digital product team- we are responsible for building new digital experiences for Advisors and Clients. Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $107,000-216,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
