The Role

The Director, Emerging Security Technologies, is responsible for defining and executing Fidelity Global Security (FGS) strategy for next-generation physical security technologies. This role serves as the organizational leader for research, evaluation, prototyping, integration, deployment, and continuous improvement of advanced security solutions, including Weapons Detection, Autonomous Robotics, Video Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Security Hardware Engineering, and Enterprise Security Systems Integration.

As the leader of these technology programs, the Director will identify emerging technologies, establish strategic vendor partnerships, oversee proof-of-concept testing, and drive enterprise adoption of innovative solutions that improve safety, operational effectiveness, and associate experience. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining a multi-year technology roadmap focused on modernizing legacy security infrastructure while introducing advanced capabilities that position Fidelity at the forefront of physical security innovation.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineer field.
• 10+ years of experience leading security technology, physical security, engineering, or technical innovation programs in complex enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with business and security objectives.
• Experience evaluating, piloting, and operationalizing emerging technologies at enterprise scale.
• Experience managing strategic technology partnerships and influencing vendor product roadmaps.
• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to present technology strategies and business cases to senior leadership.
• Experience balancing innovation, operational requirements, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record of driving technology modernization and replacing legacy systems with scalable, future-ready solutions.

• Creates and executes enterprise strategies for emerging security technologies.
• Identifies future trends and innovation opportunities that improve security effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Aligns security technology initiatives with organizational goals and business priorities.

Advanced skills and knowledge of the following Technical Security and Security Engineering topics preferred:

Weapons Detection

• Leads strategy, evaluation, deployment, and ongoing optimization of weapons detection technologies.
• Develop deployment standards, governance models, and operational procedures.
• Drives continuous improvement through testing, analytics, and technology enhancements.

Robotics and Autonomous Systems

• Leads evaluation and implementation of autonomous security robotics.
• Establish operational models for robotic patrol, monitoring, and incident response capabilities.
• Oversee integration with Video Management Systems, access control platforms, and security operations centers.

Video Analytics

• Develops strategy for enterprise video analytics capabilities.
• Oversees deployment of technologies including People Counting; Object Recognition; Loitering Detection; Behavioral Analytics; Forensic Search

Technology Research and Innovation

• Establishes emerging technology research and development programs.
• Leads proof-of-concept initiatives and technology pilot programs.
• Evaluates market trends, industry developments, and innovative security solutions.
• Build strategic relationships with technology vendors, startups, manufacturers, and industry organizations.

Systems Integration and Engineering

• Oversees integration of emerging technologies into enterprise security infrastructure.
• Ensures interoperability between access control, video systems, weapons detection, robotics, analytics, sensors, and enterprise applications.
• Guides architectural direction for scalable, resilient, and future-ready security platforms.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
