H&W Sr. Business Analyst
The Role
As a Sr. Business Analyst you will join a team of passionate Health and Welfare professionals committed to crafting business requirements that are crucial to our ability to serve as a directed record keeper for our plan sponsors. You will serve as a requirements expert and are responsible for providing business analysis support for client advised projects to ensure that the systems are functioning according to the detailed business requirements. Your interactions with the team will model Fidelity leadership principles to sustain an innovative culture and build a positive environment for your team.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
We’re looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience, 5-7 years of Business Analysis experience, at least 5 years of direct experience within Health and Welfare Annual Enrollment and 5-7 years of benefits administration, outsourcing administration (H&W) or similar experience. Interested candidates should be customer obsessed; and demonstrate the ability to balance customer service and sound business judgment.
Eligible candidates would possess the following essential skills:
- Strong organizational, time management, facilitation, and prioritization skills
- The ability to critically analyze complex business requirements/product issues
- Proven understanding of Fidelity’s end-to-end business process life cycle, data process flows, and plan level provisions is desired
- In-depth understanding of core product mechanics, record keeping systems and regulatory environment
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Strong technical skills and an ability to apply them in an analytical process
- Demonstrates strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to develop, follow, and execute documented procedures
- Experience in Agile preferred, but not required
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications
The Team
As a valued member of the Project Delivery Team, you would partner with the Client Delivery Portfolio Manager and Healthcare Program Managers to understand the goals and the work for each project milestone. You would contribute to the project through the execution of the responsibilities outlined below.
- Define and analyze complex client requirement changes for Annual Enrollment and Ongoing Projects
- Perform complex data analysis and reporting for effective client decisions
- Proactively identify problems with business requirements and recommend modifications to the functional solution which may impact the system design
- Defines test scenarios for Systems Acceptance Testing and support Business Acceptance testing activities through test case set-up, data mining, data mocking, and test execution
- Participate in validation and/or testing efforts to ensure results meet the client and/or product offering requirements
- Collaborates on the development, execution, and transition of interim needs
- Performs root cause analysis when issues arise before and after code migrations
- Performs data/client validations and remediations for Annual Enrollment and Ongoing Projects
- Crafts training and reference materials for participant services
- Participates in Procedure Improvement Initiatives
- Assist with training, mentoring, and coaching new associates
- Performs Quality Assurance Validation checks on Annual Enrollment and Ongoing Project work
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
