Our own Fidelity Real Estate Company (FREC), carefully designed casual gathering spaces, small “huddle” rooms and shared cube areas to foster communication with colleagues. While there are some closed-door offices, most are not “assigned” but rather open to anyone needing to book one for the day or even for an hour. Our offices are filled with large windows providing a perfect view of nature – white cranes swooping down and lounging on the banks in the shallow waters, turtles fluttering just beneath the surface creating rings of water to alert you of their presence.

Sustainability is another key focus for Fidelity that can be felt in Westlake. Our new solar farm is almost complete – the 3rd one for Fidelity! It’s nestled in some manmade hills as to not obscure the natural beauty of the landscape for neighboring buildings. We are also in the process having an operating organic farm created, similar to the one we have in Rhode Island. These farms not only provide fresh produce for our chefs to create with but also make it easy for Fidelity to donate to local food pantries. Associates are even encouraged to improve their impact on the environment and one way we do this is by providing charging stations for electric vehicles and special parking spots for zero emission and low-emission vehicles.

Laptop acting up? There’s a tech “Guru” bar (also referred to as “Techworks”) that will fix it on the spot. Contemplating your next career move? Visit the myCareer Center to find career experts who are ready to assist you with your next move. Feeling under the weather? Here, you’ll find a health & wellness center ready to support you. Need a pick-me-up? Complimentary snacks, state-of-the-art coffee machines, sparkling water on tap and flavored waters are strategically available throughout the buildings. (Interesting Fidelity Fact:  Reusable coffee mugs and glasses are offered in lieu of paper or plastic to avoid generating unnecessary landfill waste.) Still can’t find something to satisfy your craving? Visit The Beanery for artisan coffees, baked goods or visit any number of our honor pay snack stations. Forget a personal necessity? Visit the Concierge for complimentary items where the sky is the limit! Reading glasses, deodorant, combs, nail files, Band-Aids, toothbrushes, laptop chargers, phone chargers, sewing kits, shoe bags, you name it and they either stock it or will try to help you find it!

We wouldn’t want to forget the best amenity on the Westlake Campus – the Fidelity Cafeteria! In the morning, you can start your day off right with fresh fruit, parfaits, freshly prepared egg sandwiches, granola, cereal, a juice bar concoction and more.  By lunch time, your options are endless. The “Grill” may serve classics like a burger, patty melt, or salmon, to name a few. A Make-Your-Own Salad Bar provides you with a variety of lettuces and endless toppings. The stir-fry station is always sure to satisfy and a local corner where you can find the main dish for the day. This section is no stranger to southern delicacies like ribs and southern fried chicken (you are in Texas, after all). And if none of that entices you, there is freshly made pizza and a cold and hot deli station where you can customize your favorite sandwich. Many food options have a FIT choice – a healthier, better for you, version that is also priced more favorably. Meals can be ordered ahead on an app or picked out in real time and then enjoyed indoors or taken outside and eaten on the patio or lakeside.

As you walk throughout the buildings, it may come as a surprise that Fidelity is home to one of the largest rotating art collections in North America (more than 15,000 pieces). Abby Johnson, CEO and President, graduated with a degree in art history and has long valued the importance of art and its ability to inspire reflection, conversation, and creativity. Westlake, like all our campuses, is filled with art decorating the walls, corridors, and meeting rooms, ranging from cultural pieces, to abstract works, sculptures to paintings, and more. Interested in learning more about the pieces? Regular art tours and art classes are offered to associates – both in person and virtually.

What else makes this campus unique?

It is designed foster and support personal health and well-being. Here, you can go fishing (catch and release – or take home if you prefer), play table tennis, cornhole, attend a yoga class, utilize the equipment in our private fitness center or take a long walk around the campus using our walking trails map as a guide. Our well-designed campus also makes it easy to use one of the complimentary bicycles to take an afternoon ride or to a meeting in a different building! Need a mental health break, visit our game room to play a board game or challenge a co-worker on one of our computer game consoles.
