VP, Human Resources, Fidelity Wealth Customer Insights and Offerings (CIO)

The Role
We are searching for a dynamic and experienced human resources professional to lead Human Resources in support of the newly formed Fidelity Wealth Customer Insights and Offerings (CIO) organization. Working from our Boston office, you will use your strong business acumen and ability to develop and execute human capital strategies to help shape the organization, drive business results and prepare the workforce of the future. You will work closely with business leaders to provide HR services, including recruiting, manager engagement, associate development, and performance management, and will collaborate with Fidelity HR SMEs who support compensation, benefits, employee relations and HR operations. One HR Director will report to you, and you will partner closely with an HR Talent Partner.

The ideal candidate for this role has a strong focus on internal client engagement and satisfaction, thinks strategically and pragmatically, is a creative problem-solver, works independently and effectively prioritizes, and possesses strong analytical skills and exceptional communication skills. This is an exciting role for an experienced HR professional interested in partnering across a diverse organization. The role will collaborate closely with the Head of CIO and key leaders to shape the organizational structure and operating model for the newly formed organization, including leadership team development and supporting change management initiatives, and will establish HR practices to ensure scalability and operational efficiency and drive growth.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 12-15 years of experience in human resources functional or generalist role(s), with relevant experience in at least 2-3 areas (i.e., organizational design, talent management, analysis and reporting, associate engagement, performance management).

  • Experience motivating change initiatives and crafting strategic workforce plans.

  • Proven success serving as a trusted advisor to senior level executives, challenging and influencing difficult issues and strategic decisions, as well as providing sophisticated solutions to complex issues in an ambiguous environment.

  • Actively listens to the needs and concerns of business leaders and functional partners and can develop strategic recommendations/solutions.

  • Demonstrated experience in influencing executive teams on implications of internal and external business trends and issues that influence talent or operating environments

  • Strong decision-making skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, fluid environment

  • Deep analytical capability to translate workforce data into strategy, decision-making and business results

  • Outstanding communication, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving capabilities

  • A willingness and ability to adapt to changing work priorities and react with appropriate flexibility

The Team
Our model is a highly collaborative HR service model which helps the business drive organizational and talent initiatives in support of the Fidelity Wealth strategy and goals. The VP, Human Resources has key accountability for managing HR’s relationship with senior business leaders and their organizations.

Fidelity Wealth’s Customer Insights and Offerings is a newly established function, bringing customer analytics and wealth management offerings even closer together. The team is responsible for understanding the needs and behaviors of Fidelity Wealth’s customers and their families and developing offerings and solutions that meet their needs throughout their lifetime.

The base salary range for this position is $125,000-258,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
