Fund Accountant to support Fidelity’s venture capital fund administration platform. This role focuses on delivering core accounting and reporting activities while gaining exposure to complex fund structures, client interactions, and scalable operating processes. This position is ideal for an accountant looking to deepen their venture capital expertise in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
2–4 years of fund accounting, public accounting, or financial services experience.
Exposure to investor related documents such as LPAs, subdocs, capital account statements, etc
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience with venture capital or private equity funds.
Experience with fund accounting platforms (Allvue, Investran, QuickBooks, etc.)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience in a client-facing role supporting multiple clients
CPA certification, an MBA, or similar relevant experience is a plus
The Value You Deliver
Reconcile banking transactions and prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
Calculate and assist with capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations.
Track portfolio investments and cash activity.
Support preparation for quarterly and annual financial reporting, including schedules and support for footnotes.
Assist with audit and tax results, including preparation of support for K‑1 reporting and results.
Support client service team by preparing accurate and timely results.
Maintain fund and investor data within fund administration systems.
Coordinate internally to ensure deadlines and client expectations are met.
Escalate issues and questions appropriately to senior team members.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
