As part of the University Talent Acquisition team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality recruiting services focused on attracting and hiring emerging technical talent across key engineering domains.
The Role
The role combines full-cycle technical recruiting with hands-on university engagement, including on-campus events, relationship-building, and talent attraction strategies. You will partner closely with engineering and technology teams to deliver strong hiring outcomes, while also collaborating with universities and student communities to build awareness and interest in Fidelity’s opportunities.
This position requires an understanding of core engineering fundamentals to effectively align recruiting strategies and identify candidates with strong problem-solving, coding, and foundational technical skills. Beyond execution, the role serves as a trusted advisor—driving continuous improvement and excellence in technical university hiring.
The Skills and Expertise you Bring
- Support and grow university campus recruiting programs focused on technical talent pipelines, from strategy through execution and hiring outcomes
- Partner closely with engineering leaders to understand technical hiring needs across software, data, cloud, AI/ML, cybersecurity, and systems domains
- Evaluate candidates against core engineering fundamentals, including coding, algorithms, and problem-solving capabilities
- Build and scale diverse pipelines through targeted sourcing, university partnerships, and technical engagement strategies
- Plan and execute on-campus and virtual recruiting events (e.g., career fairs, info sessions, hackathons, technical talks), representing Fidelity’s brand and opportunities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with universities, faculty, career services, and student organizations to strengthen long-term talent pipelines
- Create engaging strategies to attract early-career technical talent, increasing visibility and interest across key campus communities
- Design and optimize recruiting workflows to ensure consistency, scalability, and an exceptional candidate experience
- Act as a subject-matter resource on technical hiring trends and university talent landscapes
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance technical hiring outcomes, including interview and assessment strategies
- Serve as a consultative partner to hiring teams on talent strategy, candidate evaluation, and hiring decisions
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Develop training and resources to improve technical hiring capability across teams
- Ensure data integrity, process discipline, and compliance standards
- Technical recruiting expertise & fundamentals: Experience hiring early-career technical talent (e.g., software engineering, data, cloud, cybersecurity, AI/ML) with the ability to evaluate or partner on assessing core engineering fundamentals such as coding, algorithms, and problem-solving.
- Full-cycle recruiting & pipeline management: Proven success managing the end-to-end recruiting lifecycle and building pipelines for high-demand technical roles using tools such as Workday ATS
- Execution with speed and quality: Highly detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver accurate results in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strategic thinking & business acumen: Ability to translate technical hiring needs into scalable recruiting strategies and connect work across multiple domains.
- Influence, collaboration & communication: Strong ability to influence without authority, partner with technical and business stakeholders, and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Operational excellence & continuous improvement: Focus on process ownership, consistency, and driving high-quality recruiting outcomes through continuous improvement.

The Team
This role reports to the Director of University Talent and is part of a team dedicated to attracting and hiring early-career technical talent at scale. You will help build Fidelity’s future engineering workforce while delivering high-quality experience for candidates and partners and contributing to the evolution of our university recruiting strategies.

The base salary range for this position is $74,000-141,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
