The Role
The Manager, Compensation Data and Analytics works in the Corporate Compensation team and assists with reporting and data visualization using a vast array of reporting tools and code base analysis. In this role, you will build robust ETL workflows in Alteryx, automate system administration with PowerShell, develop interactive Tableau dashboards, and utilize JavaScript to integrate analytics into our broader application ecosystem. You will bridge the gap between complex data extraction, automation, and visually compelling business intelligence
- Assist in the development of reporting and analytic tools using Snowflake, Alteryx, Excel, Tableau, PowerShell, JavaScript and other Fidelity systems
- Testing and ensuring the quality of core data, reports and tools
- Defines, interprets and analyzes problems in terms of system requirements and suggests modifications to the system design
- Partner with technology team to set up and improve existing data infrastructure
- Assist with issue resolution processes, communicate project milestones to all levels of the Compensation organization
- Creates complex data visualizations that will be used for executive presentations
- Work with cross functional groups (technology and business unit HR) to support delivery of compensation tools and analytics.
- Work with compensation data to uncover information and insights to help senior executives make decisions on a wide array of compensation programs including annual bonus, short-term and long-term incentives, as well as ongoing ad hoc information requests.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
The role requires expertise with reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBI and Alteryx. Additionally, coding experience with SQL, PowerShell, Javascript is helpful. The candidate must be able to translate business needs into technical requirements and turn it into actionable insights into our Compensation Programs.
- College degree with 2-5 years of experience using reporting tools, relational databases, and creation of reports, and analytics.
- SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, or other reporting/Data ETL tool skills required
- Powershell, Javascript, Other coding experience preferred
- Outstanding Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Powerpoint

The Team
The Compensation Data and Analytics team sits within the HR Function and supports HR leadership and the broader HR function. Our team analyzes the effectiveness of compensation programs for Fidelity associates. We provide executive decision support that enables us to attract and retain talent across all job roles. Within the HR function we provide data and insights to support the Compensation function and HR leaders allowing them to make the pay decisions throughout the year.
The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$153,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
