The Role

Come join a dynamic team dedicated to leading and delivering Strategic Programs in Fidelity’s Workforce Strategy and Analytics organization! The Director, HR Strategic Programs will help shape, lead and drive successful outcomes for global workforce strategy and other HR initiatives and programs. As a member of the Workforce Strategy and Analytics team, you will coordinate and manage one or more projects or programs. These may range from small to large-scale and include complex efforts. The projects can be cross-enterprise or specific to certain business areas.

This role will work closely with key collaborators, enterprise partners, and business unit leadership. It is accountable for meeting all deliverables on schedule, within quality standards, and within budget. You will partner with several stakeholders and functional teams to deliver a portfolio of highly complex projects and programs across the enterprise and business units in a highly matrixed organization. You will partner with a matrixed team to define and deliver successful outcomes of projects, facilitating prioritization and escalation of issues where appropriate.

  • You will lead multiple projects and programs of varying size and complexity
  • You will develop and drive the program’s execution strategy and ensure programs are appropriately planned, resourced, and executed within scope, timeline, and budget
  • You will work with leaders across the enterprise and business units to define and facilitate scope of work and prioritization
  • You will be developing program roadmaps and managing dependencies, risks, and impediments for the workstream and escalating when needed
  • You will collaborate across multiple levels, functions and business units
  • You will create and deliver executive level communication through a variety of vehicles, communicating complex ideas and provide recommendations when needed

Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years related experience
  • Significant management consulting, strategy, or similar experience with at least one year in a project manager role
  • Strong knowledge of program management frameworks, tools, and methodologies
  • Proven experiences leading matrixed teams or driving large, sophisticated programs for a sizable organization
  • Strong executive presence and storytelling skills
  • Experience leading complex strategic, analytical, and problem-solving processes with the ability to identify and articulate connections across separate, but related concepts
  • Proven track record of establishing and building strong relationships, collaborating to build consensus across the organization (enterprise, business units, functions)
  • Adaptable to changing needs and shifting priorities undefined

The Team

This dynamic team is part of the Enterprise HR function within Corporate Services and is responsible for developing and driving forward a strategic, forward-thinking approach to reshape our workforce strategy as we look toward the future. The team partners with a wide range of stakeholders spanning executive leadership and business and technology leaders across the firm.

The base salary range for this position is $103,000-211,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
