Job Description:
The Role
As a Senior Manager within Digital Asset Operations, you will play a key role in supporting Fidelity’s digital asset operating model after products are live, while also partnering with Product Launch during readiness and transition activities. This role sits within the Digital Assets team in Global Product Solutions (GPS) and is focused on ensuring the digital asset ecosystem is configured correctly, owned correctly, documented clearly, and operating effectively across FFIO service lines and business partners.
This role combines two important responsibilities: platform coordination and service model governance. From a platform coordination perspective, you will help ensure that the required custodians, wallets, vendor applications, internal platforms, investment universe data, staking data, reference data, and related operating inputs are identified, tracked, and completed by the appropriate system or process owners. From a service model perspective, you will help maintain clarity around roles, responsibilities, handoffs, escalation paths, controls, procedures, and service line ownership as digital asset products and capabilities evolve.
This role is not intended to perform Accounting, Shareholder Reporting, Pricing, Recon, or Technology configuration directly. Those activities should continue to be performed by the accountable service lines and system owners. The Senior Manager, Digital Asset Operations will serve as the coordination, readiness, and governance layer that ensures those teams have what they need, that dependencies are tracked, that gaps are escalated, and that the operating model remains clear and sustainable.
You will work closely with Product Launch, Accounting, Fund Admin, Recon, Pricing, Custody, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, external providers, and other partners to support new product readiness, post-launch stabilization, ongoing change, and day-to-day operational issue follow-up. The role requires strong organization, follow-through, stakeholder management, and the ability to operate in a fast-moving environment where responsibilities and capabilities are still being defined.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 8 plus years of experience (or Masters with 6 plus years of experience) in asset management operations, fund operations, product operations, project delivery, or a related financial services role
- Experience in investment and fund operations, including awareness of administration, accounting, valuation, custody, reconciliation, trading operations, performance, compliance, and related service line responsibilities
- Strong understanding of how operating models function across asset management, including the importance of clear ownership, documented handoffs, procedures, controls, and escalation paths
- Understanding of digital asset products and ability to build depth in cryptocurrencies, tokens, staking, wallets, digital custodians, blockchain-based transaction flows, and related operational considerations
- Experience with fund accounting, reconciliation, custody, or data platforms such as Geneva, InvestOne, FCR, MDM, vendor applications, or related tools is preferred
- Experience coordinating across multiple systems, platforms, vendors, and process owners to support operational readiness and ongoing change
- Strong project coordination and execution skills, including the ability to maintain readiness plans, dependency trackers, issue logs, RACI documents, service catalogs, process maps, and operating playbooks
- Ability to identify gaps, overlaps, unclear ownership, and operational risks, and to drive follow-up with the appropriate accountable teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Product Launch, Digital Asset Operations, Accounting, Fund Admin, Recon, Pricing, Custody, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and external providers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize information, identify themes, and recommend practical next steps
- Ability to operate with ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and bring structure to evolving processes and responsibilities
Platform Coordination and Configuration Readiness
- Coordinate readiness activities across digital custodians, wallets, vendor applications, internal systems, reconciliation tools, reference data, investment universe data, staking data, and related operating inputs
- Partner with Product Launch to understand new product or capability requirements and translate them into configuration readiness items across the relevant service lines and system owners
- Track dependencies across platforms and teams, including MDM, Geneva, InvestOne, FCR, DAISY, custodian platforms, vendor tools, and other systems used to support digital asset products
- Confirm that accountable system owners and service lines complete required setup and readiness activities, escalating gaps or blockers where needed
- Maintain readiness checklists and dependency trackers for new launches, post-launch changes, and ongoing capability enhancements
Service Model Governance and Process Management
- Maintain the DA Ops service model, including the service catalog, RACI, process maps, procedures, handoffs, escalation paths, and operating documentation
- Partner with Domains and Service Lines to confirm what work remains with existing teams, what is coordinated by DA Ops, and where handoffs or escalation points need to be documented
- Identify gaps, overlaps, unclear responsibilities, and process breakdowns across the operating model and help drive resolution with the appropriate owners
- Ensure changes to the operating model are documented, communicated, and reflected in procedures, controls, and playbooks
- Partner with DA Ops leadership to ensure the documented service model supports SLA monitoring, operational oversight, issue management, and control expectations
Run the Business Support
- Support day-to-day operational follow-up for live digital asset products, including tracking open issues, coordinating across accountable teams, and ensuring appropriate escalation and follow-through
- Support operational issue management for recurring trading, file feed, FCR, staking, custody, wallet, and other digital asset-related follow-ups, while ensuring remediation remains with the accountable service line or system owner
- Help identify repeat issues, support root cause follow-up, and ensure durable fixes are documented and tracked
- Support maintenance of DA Ops metrics, SLA tracking, issue logs, governance materials, training content, and operating playbooks
- Partner with Product Launch to ensure new products and capabilities transition into the RTB model with clear ownership, documentation, and handoffs
Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.
The Team
In Global Product Solutions (GPS) and Digital Assets, we’re on a mission to deliver innovative and exceptional product and program solutions from concept through execution. Our team is part of the Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) organization.
The Digital Assets team is organized across Product Launch and Digital Asset Operations. Product Launch focuses on driving new digital asset product launches and major capability rollouts from concept through go-live. Digital Asset Operations focuses on the run-the-business model after products are live, helping ensure the ecosystem is configured correctly, ownership is clear, processes are documented, and operational issues are tracked and escalated appropriately.
Digital Asset Operations does not replace Accounting, Shareholder Reporting, Pricing, Recon, Technology, or other service lines. Instead, it serves as a horizontal coordination and governance layer across the digital asset ecosystem. The team helps ensure that service lines and system owners remain aligned, that new products and changes transition cleanly into production, and that the operating model can scale as Fidelity’s digital asset product set evolves.
