The Role

As a Regional Planning Consultant, you provide mentorship and development support to Fidelity Wealth associates, helping them strengthen their capabilities and advance their careers.

In this role, you support advisor development by detailing coaching interactions within Salesforce Coaching App 2.0, enabling consistent tracking of progress and skill advancement. By reinforcing the Fidelity Relationship Model and Standards of Care, you help prepare advisory associates to become highly proficient and effective advisors.

You also provide financial planning expertise through joint client appointments, partnering with advisors to introduce and implement appropriate planning strategies and solutions. Through hands-on coaching, collaboration, and client-facing support, you help advisors improve their efficiency while delivering significant outcomes for clients.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Sales experience with validated knowledge of planning interactions
  • Expert level experience and understanding of financial/investment planning process and knowledge of strategies in areas of retirement planning, education funding, estate planning and insurance planning
  • Fidelity product knowledge/experience preferred
  • FINRA Series 7, 63/66 required and insurance licenses must be acquired within 6 months of hire
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance preferred
  • CFP certification preferred
  • At least 25% travel in the field will be required
  • Planning skills and in-depth knowledge of financial product offerings
  • An unparalleled desire to mentor and impact others’ results
  • Public speaking skills and confidence in front of an audience of any size

The Team

The Regional Planning Consultant plays a vital role in supporting professionals within Fidelity Wealth by reinforcing the principles of mentorship and personalized planning. You will affect associate development through focused coaching support in the key foundational areas including communication skills, planning concepts, practice management techniques and planning tools.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $95,000-186,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
