Why looking for an entry-level role anywhere can be challenging

Since 2020, the economy and the job market have been turbulent and uncertain; both change on a dime. Add to that the fact that as a new job seeker you’re competing with an experienced workforce. It’s hard to even get a chance to prove yourself.

Fidelity believes in hiring for entry-level positions

Fidelity knows that great talent needs a chance to flourish, especially when that talent is new. We’ll help you learn the skills you need to succeed and move forward in your career in a way that’s best for you, whether that’s going back to school, working in a new department, or going for a promotion.

When you work at Fidelity as an entry-level associate, you have plenty of career options and support. “You’re not stuck where you are. You have a lot of different paths you can go down,” said Alexis, customer relationship advocate.

Why you should work at Fidelity in an entry-level role

Fidelity remains a stable company with a positive reputation that invests in entry-level associates

Business and finance jobs are projected to grow faster than the average job through 2033, which helps foster job stability. As a private company, we’re not beholden to the whims of the marketplace, so we can plan for the long term.

Fidelity is committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming workplace for everyone, especially entry-level associates. “The culture is very inclusive, collaborative, and transparent. Everybody’s super friendly and wants you to succeed,” said Alexis.

We know that work is just one piece of your life’s puzzle, which is why we invest in your well-being and help protect your work/life balance. “If you want an employer that truly cares about you, this is the place you can find that,” said Andrew, transition services help desk. “I’m a person first and an employee second.  Fidelity really invests in that,” said Elara, principal architect, corporate technology group.

Fidelity gives entry-level, regular associates exceptional benefits in a hybrid model

Fidelity offers regular associates, including entry-level employees, world-class benefits that go above and beyond the average employer, such as student loan assistance, mental health support, investment and concierge services, and so much more.

Here’s what regular associates have to say about our benefits:

  • Ryan, central relationship manager: “The fact that Fidelity adds a little extra on top of what I pay on my student loans makes more of an impact.”
  • Elara: “The mental health benefit transformed how I show up at work.”

Temporary associates also receive benefits like medical insurance, paid sick leave, and contributing to a 401(k).

When you’re new to the workplace, having coaches and mentors nearby who can answer questions on the fly and walk you through projects shoulder to shoulder can help you get your bearings. That’s why we work in a hybrid model with on-site connect weeks every other week so you can interact and network with your peers in the office and have heads-down time at home to focus. When you’re on- site, you’ll have incredible amenities to keep you inspired, help you recharge, and stay healthy. Learn more here.
